The best/worst thing about BOC/Hexagon Sun is their art is so great and fantastic but it's so scare and rare too. Like it's too good for this world...(which it kinda is.)

Peter Iain Campbell is such a good photographer, his oil rig images just emanate desolation. Random audience participation: what’s you’re favourite album/EP art and why? :)

Geogaddi - makes me think of autumn/fall in a psychedelic way.

Trans Canada Highway EP - reminds me of how I saw road and trailhead signs while traveling (mainly through the Appalachians) with my family as a child.

i really dig the hiscores cover, and i'm not sure why. it's so simple yet inviting, reminds me of when i first discovered them and didn't have the patience to listen to most of their stuff. The discography seemed much more alien and unatainable back then and the cover reminds me of that.

I love the Music Has The Right cover since it's very easy to make memeic images of it and plus, I love the weirdass texture on the family's faces

Geogaddi is a great BOC-take on the Wickerman

TCH's cover is great because it showcases a dude who could very well be from 1975 or 2005. My friend said it looked like Beck

Those three albums are definitely a trilogy because they all involve faceless people on the cover and have similar yet different music approaches. TH seems to be a new chapter for BOC and we'll see if the next album continues the story.

And really, there's so much excitement for me over anything new from BOC. And one of those things is the new art. Cannot wait to have a brand new LP of trippy, mindblowing art courtesy of Hexagon Sun :D

This is like when the bros borrowed PIC's work for their cover of Closes.

maybe they have a lot of these? stored in an underground hexagon sun library?

In an early interview, I remember them talking about publishing books. I tended to think of it as another thing they might have made up for mystification but it seems that this is something that actually was published.

Perhaps the secret Hexagon Society isn't as fabricated as the jaded would like to think. There might legitimately be a whole world of art we'll never get to see unless someone unveils it. This book is very much like the society itself, tangible but still completely out-of-reach.

(On a side note, let's hope our friend doesn't get his legs broken for sharing it with us.)

The day any one of us finds hooper bay in a charity shop is the day i will blast out the Pogues song “fiesta” on a loop in my house!
Though I’m not thinking we will but if RDJ (Aphex) left a USB full of music on a plane then anything’s possible!

I really hope that the bros Sandison aren't pissed by this being uploaded. They tend to get "weird" when personal stuff is uploaded and rightfully so. Would not want them taking their anger out on the fan base who are patiently waiting for the new album/boxset and not uploading secret artifacts like this.

As cool as this is, here's hoping for an actual announcement from them instead :D

I mean when AFOT & OTV2 were leaked they mentioned in the guardian TH interview that the leaker betrayed their trust, which I agree with and I’m sure if I was them and a Hypothetical old tunes Vol.3 turned up out of the blue, I’d be pretty pissed off.

I've heard about couple of these cases. The trick is famous artists put made up names on their unreleased stuff.

That would be like getting angry at an animal for answering to their most instinctive behavior, which is dumb and the bros are above such childish thinking.

It's just what we are and they're aware of it. They know we'll jump on it like a fresh piece of meat.

You'll never see them take their anger on us.

"Something was not quite right,"

"And you knew it was not right."

Just something I noticed about the Beautiful Place book. I wonder if it might be a clue as to the source of the sample in Nothing Is Real. Perhaps the sample is buried somewhere deep in the lore of the Branch Davidians.

Yeah I think that makes sense. I'll take your word for it.

It's a cool discovery and very beautiful. They and their friend should be very proud of it. As I've said, reads like what the Hexagon Sun cult reads to their kids after they pray to the father, the synths and the holy Koresh.

This is incorrect actually.

I've contacted this guy and he couldn't verify this claim. He redacted his statement on Facebook.

A Beautifull Place's cover is made of footages/media screens. Since the brothers have their own collection of tapes, it's likely they did it themselves.

However it's true there is a general confusion on how much does the rest of hexagon sun have an impact on the boc project. But it's likely some, if not most of the members wish to keep their anonymity.

I would love to see the hexagone sun webite revamped of that the rest of the collective can share their own work.

Yeah I would definitely sign for that. Imagine getting links to the creative outlets of of a lot of the HS collective? I'd appreciate their Instagram photography accounts, their curated playlists on Spotify, their imaginative videos on YouTube, and so on...

But then again, maybe we are in fact already following some of them... ;)

I think you're all probably putting too much empahsis on the solidness and validity of the word collective and what it actually means.
I just picture Hexagon Sun as a bunch of mates years ago, growing up, finding, listening and jamming a little music while drinking, smoking and hanging out, way before their lives begin with real work or partners etc. A young free time that everyone goes through just that 2 of these dudes got a record deal and became something almost tangible outside of that group. They probably laughed about giving each other roles as things started to happen, messing about, talking about ways to gain notoriety, taking the piss, having fun.
Everyone is grown up now, marriage, kids, work so I doubt this group exist how it did. Still friends probably and chatting very occasionally, fondly about what's going on, reading the message boards, having a laugh, taking the piss, because of course, we make it easy for them.

2 guys, make cool music, like to maintain their mystique for fun, I bet that is as far as it goes.

That conjures up an image of the boys acting out some script for American television
-mike and Marcus are sitting watching a program about Einstein’s numerology on TV while they tape a Joni Mitchell documentary on ‘terrible’ channel 5 “Peter! Where you at with our lunch, the commercials won’t be on for long!” Bellows Marcus who hands Mike some popcorn
Peter Iain Campbell enters the room with a oily, greasy half stuffed chicken on his head, his face is pure terror “it’s coming along nicely! Thanks for asking!” He says sarcastically. A studio audience laugh like Del Boys fallen through the bar again

Anyway apologies for subjecting any poor soul to that, on a different note it’s Richard David James’ 50th birthday today, happy birthday Aphex :D , anybody hear the radio 6music special they did?
