also any of the songs on this album would fit perfectly with a video of like... space... or an early 2000s pre stock market bubble thing office (think the roygbiv video aesthetic, the maze screensaver on windows 2000, dark blue squares with light blue edges)

I've always found this one to fit the bill (Lusine (icl)- Language Barrier), especially the track "Jetstream". On those absent-minded days, I could stare at the cold blue hue of the water and get lost in the murky reflection of the trees all day.

They just recently blocked YT and bandcamp (and everything else but Twoism it seems) at my place of work- awesome. So I can't post any other links at the moment.

Amazing ambient album though.

I don't know how to describe why the cover fits the music other than the hues really match the deep blue tones in the music. I'm interested if any of my synesthesia friends on here agree with this. Example. Most of the time I think album art matches the music its because the color scheme resonates with what I'm hearing. I hate that that sounds pretentious because it's true.

(When you unfold the album artwork, there's a guy laying in the bed looking at her/out the window and takes this otherwise cool album cover and transforms it into something really sensual, which this album is).

Esthero's Breath From Another album artwork does the same thing the Blue Six one does for me. I get a really nice teal vibe from every song on Breath From Another, except the bonus track which is orange with hints of green. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFdGr5nh5tI

These are probably my two favorite colors just because of how much the colors match the music.

James Ferraro has a few good ones:

Last American Hero
This album was a religious experience for me while I was living in the dead of right wing suburbia. Nothing but clusters of cookie cutter neighborhoods and strip malls outside of walking distance. No hills on the horizon. Stuck in the year 200X.

Even though there are nearly GAZILLIONS of alternative versions of the cover, the incidental artwork of Pink Floyd's "The Division Bell" goes hand in hand with the music.

Just because the album art matches the music perfectly doesn't mean I like the album, though in most of these instances I do.

And without a doubt MHTRTC and Geogaddi, probably more than any others on this list.

Great choice.
I was thinking today about my cd version of Faith, which has Carnage Visors and a second disc of singles, b-sides, demo's, bonus bumf etc from 1980 to 1981. Made me wonder why re-releases come with all that excess. :|
In the liner notes though, I read about the state of the band and all those infamously turbulent sessions. Ones full of Class A use and heavy boozing (Smith's declining mental health of course.)
Through all of that, they still produced this masterpiece, what a record eh?

As much acclaim Disintegration gets, Faith is such a finely made album. If Seventeen Seconds and Pornography are representative of angst and self destructiveness respectively, then Faith is depression from beginning to end. The Drowning Man always gets me and Faith is easily the most powerful album closer of theirs. Bands that hit those lows tend to either make their best or worst at that time with no in between it seems.

I always feel like their gothic quintet of albums to be fitting of a specific environment each:
Seventeen Second - the dead of night
Faith - dense and misty fog
Pornography - isolation
Disintegration - heavy rain
Bloodflowers - very late sunny afternoon

After giving it a quickie ogle on rateyourmusic, it seems to be quite the Tranquil beast, but for some reason the font on the cover reminded me of the [rec] horror film franchise logo.
Spoiler: show

Therefore I imagine without even hearing it that from the cover it's full of some kind of gothic anguished nightmare fuel.
I'll have to give it a play now just to surprise myself. :D
