The 6 copies of the XXXXXX 12" were not on any official RSD list either, just dropped in to some stores. I think?

Have the people who have the VHS tapes got the wrong format on purpose? What i mean is, send NTSC format to countries that use PAL and and vice versa. The clue is, the format VHS use on the stickers are wrong on purpose. Try and play NTSC on a PAL or vice versa.......Worth a shot


The opening sequence would be recorded with PAL or NTSC that fits with the stickers on the VHS tapes but the rest is encoded in the wrong format

Indeed they weren't, but then they weren't actually part of the RSD releases either from what I recall. They were just drops.
RSD participating stores will get all the info for all releases regardless of how limited they are. When the time comes to order releases in, we can pop our preorders in and then we have to wait (at the mercy of the labels/distributors) to find out what our allocation is.

So with regards to there being a BoC RSD UK official release, we have no info on that happening as it stands. That may change in due course and if so I will update here, unless the information is embargoed and in this case, I won't be able to say anything until the date/time they give us to release info. My original post was merely made to say that as of now, we have no info on an official BoC RSD UK release & if we did have info and it was embargoed, I would have avoided posting anything lol.

It's definitely more likely to be a test pressing of the new record. It was posted in June 2024. The other items on his profile don't suggest he's the kind of person to share "here's me in the studio" kind of stuff.

It feels like a huge milestone. And this week we have another big milestone in the roadmap to LP5.

I can say, for sure, at the moment, there is NO information on a RSD release by BoC that has been provided to any registered Recordstoreday UK participating store.

*Edit to add - If there was information and it was embargoed, I wouldn't have posted anything here, due to participation rules of RSD lol

This could potentially damage the tapes. I, personally, wouldn't do it, but someone might be willing.

That said, a long time ago there was a discussion about this box set coming along with new material such as LP5.
This would become the "bible" as mentioned in the VHS for the Societas X (BoC followers).
Just speculating...hope is on!

Getting the 7 mythical unreleased tapes paired with LP5 would truly be the Old and New Testament wouldn't it?

The track on the tape is "Little Star" from SxT, but it's slowed down. Doing what you're saying could possibly speed the track up to play at normal speed.

Btw, there's a lot of people that have faith something might happen on RSD, that means we have 9 days to exhaust all possibilities of secrets this tape could be hiding. I'm not sold it's just a "mood setter" and we should be sitting back, I think proactivness could definitely result in something special the bros have hidden within this seemingly obsolete piece of technology.

I don't believe anything will occur on RSD, with respect to physical copies of a release. That path has already been cleared. Now, I could see another cute lil clue popping up. Perhaps the lead single dropping, if we're lucky, even though I think that's gonna happen sometime in the week following. This seems most likely to be an early June (5th, if I were a betting man) release, if the roll out schedule works like they usually do.
