1. I loved it.
2. It really reminds me of that early UNKLE/Mo'wax era where Tim Goldsworthy kind of handed over to DJ Shadow, and the Major Force West record came out.
3. The people animations in the video were so simple, yet so well done!

OK second listen it's landing a lot better. Can't wait to chug a beer and listen to this on a huge sound system at the London date.

I'm guessing they've chosen this track intentionally if they're asking people not to record the premiere after the first five mins. If this is just the intro, the rest of the album is going to be epic.

Also 4:45 is the sound I've been missing these past 13 years. No one - and I mean no one - does that vibe better.

LORD HAVE MERCY.

I wouldn't be surprised if a full visual component has been produced alongside the album. Hell, I've done that with some of my releases.

A quick Google of what I think is part of the lyrics, "I am god, the ultimate resonance" returns absolutely zilch.
Oh, no! Not the bees! Not the bees! Aaaaahhhhh! Oh, they're in my eyes! My eyes! Aaaahhhhh! Aaaaagghhh!

ALSO, that intro with band's name and the flashing sun effect very much reminds me of the video that was taken down shortly before everything really kicked off. The one with the eagle.

Must've been affiliated with the brothers or someone who worked on this project.

i genuinely smiled when the guitar made its appearance - it was such a lovely “ah, there they are” moment!

This sound production is wild! What else sounds like this? My guitarz knowledge is scant. I hear bits of MBV, FSOL (in some of their weirder ambient guises), The Exaltics, the weirdness of GCOM / Qebrus, maybe some Depeche Mode, maybe NIN?
I remember when this was fields

It does feel a bit like that - especially with the imagery: It's like they're leaning in to everything that makes BoC BoC - almost like a culmination of everything else they've done?

When the main drum beat kicks in, this is what it reminds me of:

YES! Deep like swimming over the Marianas Trench.

Also ditto whoever shouted out Skytree, that's a good shout. It's funny the similarities, I get Nine Inch Nails, even a bit of Stone Tower era Delerium with that flute over the drone. But mostly, just THEM, you know?

4th? 5th? listen now....I *really* like Prophecy. I really get a hint of an older track around 1:30 ->2:00 (from their unreleased stuff). I can't put my finger on it, but it sounds familiar...in a good way.
I AM GOD. THE ULTIMATE RESONANCE.

There are a lot of different 'me's, you know. There's the mad me, when I get angry.

Gets better with each listen, I'm finding. Also a lot better in higher quality format.

Visuals were incredible, wow.

Didn't have quite the emotional effect on me as Tape 05, but definitely like what I'm hearing. It's fresh.

Definately going back to Quake with this one. I think before, if boards of canada are in the future thinking about the past. Lets also estimate they are 20 years behind. Now, they are thinking about 2002-2004. Limp bisquit, Korn, Bowling For Soup, Beastie Boys. It even has the same CD sound you would get back in the day. We are definately in the new millenium now. If MHTRTC was them thinking about the 70s, and Campfire Headphase the 80s... and Tomorrows Harvest the 90s/new millenium. You can sort of see my theory pan out.

Not sure if people realise but the first 2 tracks are available to download from Beep if you've pre ordered.

Oooh, I hear that! Even hints of the vastly underappreciated first Delerium album, 'Faces, Forms & Illusions."
