Stereo width can be widened or narrowed using most stock DAW plugins. I wouldn't just go by that. Well done for clicking it and listening though, I don't think my brain would have allowed me to.

The theme of religion and technology could perhaps be boiled down to the simple theme of knowledge (sometimes confused with certainty). A recurring visual element in this video and particularly in Tape 05, is the codex (simply called book today).

One cannot underestimate the importance of this invention in the transmission of knowledge. Before the invention of the codex, there was first cuneiform writing, then papyrus and scrolls. All of these were unwieldy and cumbersome.
The invention of the codex more or less coincides with the beginnings of Christianity. This invention helped to spread the religion. But generally speaking, the portability of the codex and its ease of use also helped to disseminate all other forms of knowledge.
Several centuries later, another major invention was initially driven by the dissemination of the Bible: the printing press. Paradoxically, the Christians clergy banned the translation of the Bible into modern languages. Many translators were burned alive.

As for the sound quality of the new tracks, I think their music haven’t been this textured since Geogaddi. It’s almost tactile.

The more I watch the promo the more I'm reminded of a very, very old and distant memory from my early childhood,

Excellent spot, Twoist. Christ, I used to to love that show as a wee one. Love the live drums on the soundtrack, too.
Oh, no! Not the bees! Not the bees! Aaaaahhhhh! Oh, they're in my eyes! My eyes! Aaaahhhhh! Aaaaagghhh!

That looping synth melody at the end is truly magical. The whole track has a "rancid" feel to it like the beats were left out in the sun for too long, if that makes sense, and the end perfectly encapsulates that feeling. God has just touched our souls with an urgent transmission and the oddly dissonant and strange melody comes in, the distortion, the detuning. Those synths that sound like a train horn. It really feels like scalding sunshine that's both nurturing and relieving but it's a little too much.

Wow, buried memory activated, I think they maybe borrowed some ideas from this, so many hexagons!

This show used to freak me out but I loved it. The most startling episode is the one where a girl dives through a second floor window and bursts into flames. Small me did not know how to deal with this.

Fun to know The Tomorrow People lives long in the memory of a few here! I was tiny when I first remember watching it at the end of the 70s and the spooky intro has haunted me ever since. It would be surprising if Robert Beatty had ever encountered it but it's a neat parallel to the current promo.

I love the vocal in Prophecy At 1420 MHz that sounds like it was sampled directly from Mr. Mistake.

Anyone noticed this rather specific hexagon at the beginning of Introit? Wonder if its another reference or a hexagon sun thing.

Dante is mentioned in the talk from which the vocals are sampled.

Just listened to 'Somewhere Right Now!' Got it on Slsk, the person's user name was 'annfoeperper.'

It's 100% real! Absolutely beautiful track. Lighter in tone than 'Prophecy,' but still somehow sounds like Geogaddi 2.0 to me. :D

God, I love this. Their percussion programming has improved a lot, and it's the most layered sounding stuff I've ever heard from them. Very impressive!

I couldn't help myself, but kudos to everyone here that has self restraint!

I want to request that anyone who listens to a leak please hold back from describing the music in this thread.
