1. The notion that they were under a 5 LP contract from Warp and that they fulfilled it for this one is true.
2. It is possible too that they were waiting to do the BOCSet until they got out of their contract. If the flexidisc confirms they've been released, they KNOW the BOCset will make them bank, so they'll do it now under Music70 and will barely have to do a thing to promote it.
3. They hate each other. It just sounds spiteful to me.
*goes to crosspost this in general speculation*

There is a good section in this chapter talking about the, and I quote: "Scottish half-breeds." And it seems The National Film Board of Canada has very much been a big help for the native community. I think they promise to ensure a certain amount of budget allocation of resources towards native culture and also just love the native culture because its awesome. That may be the kind of organization that's worthy to want to honour. The incredible, creative, spiritual nature of their music may have the mixed roots in the similarly incredible, creative, and spiritual nature of Native American and Scottish culture. Both roots feel celebrated in their catalog, What a beautiful mix we end up with,
That is entirely just speculation after a small amount of research, of course. I could easily be wrong and talking out of my arse.
“Bison hunters rode horses known as “buffalo runners.” These swift, powerful horses were needed to run straight and to maintain their speed while the hunters loaded, aimed and shot their guns. Good buffalo runners had to be carefully trained so they would not panic when running in the large bison herds. Hunting took a great deal of skill for both the horse and rider. Many Métis became successful ranchers and cowboys due to the useful skills they acquired from bison hunting.”Den wrote:747Music wrote:After reading some more in Giraud's book.... I opened up the album today, and the hexagon flexi-disc is placed inside the booklet between the double-page spread of people on horseback. The Métis were horseback riders. I think you are spot on.
Can someone else let us know if the flexi-disc was placed within the same pages in their record?

Mine is was placed in this exact spot. In the double page panorama shotDen wrote:I’m still curious if anyone can confirm that the flexi-disc was placed within the double-page spread of the horseback riders in their record? If so, I think this substantiates 747’s discovery re Giraud.

It's crazy how quickly all these vocal samples are being found. Perhaps this was done on purpose? I mean as far as I'm aware we still haven't found the source for the Nothing is Real "Jesus, was it you indeed" sample!
Regarding the heavy nods towards Christianity on this album - obviously BOC are pointing out the darker side of the religion. That's to be expected based on their past work and interviews. However, I do feel like they also point towards to good sides of Christianity on Inferno. The cults, abusive priests, the people 747 points out in this thread, they are only a small percentage of Christians that have ever walked the earth and billions of humans have followed Christ in an honest and positive way for over 2000 years.
Am I taking the piss or does anyone else see both sides being represented?
