i wanted to like that! and there were many aesthetic aspects of it i truly did. i think it's a really well-shot, well-animated film. and it's probably also better for folks that are in the industry, you know, there might be a lot more to laugh about w/r/t difficulties within the biz - but i watched this a couple of years ago, and the stand-in character for the writer really just irked me after a while!
of course, the old coworker who first told me about it really thought highly of himself and his point of view, so ... maybe that rubbed off on my interpretation of the movie a bit too
