I quite like Jack Daniels, although beyond that my knowledge is limited.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

The smell of whiskey makes me very happy. What exactly is the difference in whiskey and scotch whiskey?

Black Label on the rocks.

Jack, either straight, or on the rocks.

The rocks all depend on whether or not I want to soften the blow.

Digging up this old thread as I recently had the pleasure of sampling a 16yr old Laphroaig. Holy hell, it was lovely.

The oldest alcohol I have bought is Ron Zacapa Centenario 23. Aged 23 Years. Good Rum! It's around $40.00 though.

Okay, guys...

Seeing as it *SOMEHOW* hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, I'm gonna share with you a little secret. From the 4-years I spent living in Scotland, I had the pleasure of experiencing many drops of whisky.

But I can tell you, with complete near-objective certainty, that the finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky is... Talisker

This stuff is so smooth, it's like drinking pure glowing cosiness. I can't recommend it enough :0
