Hi.

I took a look at the Warp shedules section and couldn't find the dates for the London and Sheffield Parties.

When are they and if anyone knows, when will they be releasing the tickets for sale ?

Sorry if this has been discussed before...

yo Skydiver

I believe the Sheffield event is in August (on the exact date of Warp's birthday, dunno what the date is though!)

And the London show will be in September sometime.

It had details of the events on the Warp 20 site a few months back, but it has since been changed to ''Warp20 will continue throughout 2009 with proposed events in New York, Sheffield, Tokyo and London.''

I'm sure we'll be getting proper dates soon though, i just hope the tickets aren't at a ridiculous price!

In which if BOC don't actually play live they'd be attending at least..

But if they do play live in TOKYO i'd be so pissed off!

thanks for that !

I'm hoping to go to the London show if i can get tickets and depending on who plays.

Having said that, i'd go to Sheffield if that's the only place where BoC play this year.

Here's hoping they tour the "new" record !

Knowing them like we do I just can't see them playing live before the new album drops. Doubt they would want to just turn up and plug the laptops in like the old days. Figuring they would be as anally retentive about live production that they are with recording. Hope I'm wrong of course!

So there's no official dates concerning the London & Sheffield events? I live in Sheffield and would hate to miss seeing BOC on my own doorstep!
I just hope it doesn't fall on the same day as Radiohead playing Leeds Festival cos' i'd have one hell of a dilema on my hands!

Ofcourse Radiohead is good, but BOC is a lot more rare, so for me the choice would be really easy!

I would rather see BOC than Radiohead but ive already got tickets for Leeds and I have a feeling if BOC do play, it may be as a special guest or something. Given how secretive they are, we may not know they are playing till we get there

yeah.. and hate to be the pessimist and all but if MDG said they were to busy working on their new album for decent input into the warp20 album maybe they're too busy to play live..

i hope not D:

Hope Warp actually do something in the UK. Probably in that London if they do, anyway.

on the warp 20 site it did originally say that the sheffield gig would be on warp's actual birthday weekend, which according to wikipedia should be the weekend of the 8th of august. short notice if it does end up being then though. the warp site used to say the london gig would be in september as well, which also seems unlikely

Blimey, the 8th of August ?!

I'm guessing this could be a good thing, in that, they'll release the line up's fairly soon, ( like this weekend or next weekend AT THE LATEST) so we'll get an idea of who's playing.

If Boards of Canada play either the Sheffield gig, ( and i think they will ) or the London gig, ( doubtful, probably be freakin !!! and Maximo Pap ) then i'll be there, online, pressing refresh on the "Buy Tickets" page until i either get a ticket or have worn my fingers to the bone...

Still, it's a bit odd that Warp haven't said anything about the event. It's in two weeks fer chrissakes ! ( According to Wikipedia ) :D
