it's only the inception of warp that's "according to wikipedia", it was warp themselves that originally said it would be on their birthday weekend (but they didn't say when that was, hence i looked at wikipedia). the fact that warp have now removed all info about the england based events from their site suggests they may've rethought their plans though. they had aphex and plaid in paris so you'd expect the london line-up to have at least one of the idm big hitters :?

who knows, you can imagine the sheffield event being a bit cloak and dagger if their planning on a smallish venue and a big line-up (maybe they've already given all the tickets to friends!) but you'd think the london one would just be in whatever size venue they think they could sell out and advertised properly.

If they play either, I'll be bummed, the plane tickets at this short notice would be murder :(

I was informed that the Sheffield Warp20 is happening September 18th and 19th now... I am actually considering flying over, provided the lineup is once in a lifetime.

hopefully at least one of boards, autechre, aphex or plaid. don't think i'd bother with that sheffield line-up even if it was in london, squarepusher is ace, but he plays everywhere.

Yeah, so far the Paris lineup was the best by far.

my friend saw squarepusher live and he was absolutely shit apparently, just stuck a backing track on and played some self-indulgent slap-bass schtick over the top. He's been fantastic in the past though or so I've heard

I saw squarepusher at glastonbury in 2005 and despite the soundsystem being shit, he was fucking awesome. Maybe it was the drugs, i dunno. :D
