Another year and another OoT. I love when this time of year comes around. I look forward to every aspect of it. So...here we are with the artwork. As you have noticed the artwork has always worked hand in hand with the release. This year is no different. We are going with a winter theme to compliment the past two releases. All of talented twoimers get to work. Here is how it is done:

Ground Rules:
  • Full design: front, inlay, back.
    • Resolution: 300dpi
    • Format: png
    • Front cover width: 1423
    • Front cover height: 1411
    • Insert width: 1423
    • Insert height: 1411
    • Tray card (includes two spines) width: 1772
    • Tray card (includes two spines) height: 1385
    • Spine width: 74
Download OoT1&2 artwork here to get an impression.
  • Send the font along with the artwork.
  • Allowing to let the crew edit and finalize your design.

Complementing the theme for this would certainly be a nice touch for this particular volume.

This is a great example and in my opinion a design that should be completed for OoT3.

Instructions for Submitting:

You can post the artwork in this topic, however only full designs will be considered for the final design.

Keep in mind that the community will pick their favorite design. There will be a poll(if needed) for the communtiy to vote once all submissions are in.

Deadline:
30 November 2008

Release Date:
Early 2009.
This time is needed to master, compile and mix, as well as finish the artwork and creating a microsite.

Good luck and thanks for making this possible!

That's awesome sarinsunday.

I submitted that cover at the top of the thread, but unfortunately I have not been able to get a higher res version of the photo used. Yet.

That is awesome. The color combination, with the orangey-red text, is great.

No offence but Earthbound, in my opinion yours looks a bit cliche BoC if you get what I mean..

I mean it looks awesome, but it just yells out BoC and Aesthetics said that we're trying to move away from BoC in this one.
But he also said whatever works works, so do it anyway.

Don't listen to what I say, continue to do it, I'm just a 16 year old kid. ;)

Lol. You edited your message when I started a quote-reply.
I see what you mean man. The 'turquoise look' breaths a bit of a BoC vibe. But I also felt it's something completely different. I don't know.. IMO it's a pic to look at and get lost in while listening to good music, so I thought it could be fitting for the concept.

We'll see what our fellow-twoismers think of it.

I think it's very neat, but isn't it more of a summer kind of pic?
