This album is out. I'm digging Broken, Superfast Jellyfish, and the title track. Other than that, it's either going to grow on me or I won't like it. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/subjective-sunlight

Superfast Jellyfish, featuring harmonies from none other than the wonderful Gruff Rhys doing what he does best.
Sounds very particular, from the 2-3 songs I've heard it's kind of glitchy and tinny hip hop. This is gonna be good. _________________ SAURUS AWAY

Way too much hip-hop on this one, and the track starring Lou Reed is just annoying.
There are a few quite good tracks though, anyway I hope it'll grow on me. _________________ fuel for black quartz

Had my hopes high for this, since I'm a big fan of Demon Days, but it's safe to say I'm moderately disappointed.

Me too. Demon day is the Gorillaz masterpiece. This album have some nice piece of sound, but it's not a big bang. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/acheronnnn

It's certainly missing a great single like Dare.
Seriously? That was probably the least memorable song for me on Demon Days.
I really can't get enough of this new record though..the title track is totally rockin', Empire Ants has a great melody (and the ending bits are brilliant), Stylo and Superfast Jellyfish are great singles I think. Melancholy Hill is also really really great, lyrically. I like the Lou Reed song (because I adore Lou Reed) and Pirate Jet is a great closing track.
To be honest, I will probably always love Demon Days more, just because I've been listening to it for so long, but this new album met my expectations and then some. _________________ The preparation for a dive is always a tense time.

Ive always admired Gorillaz but could never call myself a fan. For whatever reason this record just does it for me. I'm waiting for it to get tiresome but it just seems to be getting better with each listen.
