As mentioned, my belief in you is fairly high, but not unlimited. Don't go mad about things that are not there.
P.S.: sorry that I can't believe in you like you do.

You're even more skeptical than Scully from the x-files!![]()
Well I host the bocpages, I'm in no position or don't have any valid reason to jeopardize this privilege by lying to anyone regarding all things BoC. Whether you trust me is up to you of course.

Bryan wrote:Its about the pattern of behavior. Whether this person is actually associated with BoC or not, from all the posts I've seen over the past few years this is someone who on the surface seems to revel in the attention brought to them by being perceived as connected to BoC. Nothing substantial ever pans out to be true, and we're left with the presence of this person growing ever larger.
Say this person is actually associated in some official capacity, than I find their actions to be an annoyance at best. Share only what you've been authorized to say or STFU. Either let BoC be some secretive band or give us real updates, but this being in the middle with the secretive insider 'information' is amateur hour nonsense.
Not that I was aware that this person is now a moderator. Why? I would rather have there be 100 pieces of speculation and rumor than to have one more 'official' bit of information turn out to be false. Its like going to a tech website to discover that someone at Sony runs the forum - sure there's some chance it would be non-biased but I certainly wouldn't proceed on faith alone.
You might argue that we're talking music, but there is a product to be sold here and a brand identity to be upheld. The BoC brothers are not some infallible super beings. They're human like the rest of us and if they fuck up we should feel free to hold them accountable. I certainly hope that the people who run Twoism wouldn't trade that for an illusion of access. Its a slippery slope, one of which this giving a hard time about the shirt would be just the beginning.
This is just a sole opinion on the matter, and one that I certainly hope I would be able to continue to express. Like I said Fredd, its nothing personal, and instead just an attempt to provide some honest feedback on what it looks like from out here.

Which so called 'official' bit of information provided by MDG turned out to be false then?! If you're not implying this then you shouldn't have made this comparison.Bryan wrote:Not that I was aware that this person is now a moderator. Why? How can a band fuck up? They don't owe you anything at all. And we're not trading anything around here; we're just glad we finally have someone around to stop the pestering of trolls. Unfortunately some people don't seem to appreciate that.Bryan wrote:You might argue that we're talking music, but there is a product to be sold here and a brand identity to be upheld. But up to now, there is no communication with mdg. He behaves like the boc website. Sometimes, unexpectedly he gives out a bit of information, but you almost know that further enquiry isn't being answered.
Bryan is right. In the end you have a moderator on this forum who helps deleting information, something this forum lives on. Do we retrieve an adequate equivalent so this deal can be considered a good one?
Care for an example? "mdg: At this point, the box set of early material is looking 99% likely to happen."
Imho, this non-information doesn't justify the deletion of any obscure rumour about the set.
MDG: "At this point, the box set of early material is looking 99% likely to happen. I say that because it hasn't been finally compiled yet. There's a big archive to get through, the obvious tracks that were on various demos and mixtapes given out to friends in the late eighties and early nineties, but also a huge amount of unreleased material that hasn't surfaced so far. There are hundreds of tracks for every year from say 1986 through to 1995, and then for every record BOC have released there are a mountain of tracks that didn't make it onto the record. So the time involved is the only issue from what I understand. There's been regular debate across here about what goes on them and in what order etc. But if you can be patient, these tracks will come out, and a whole lot you won't have heard yet too. Asides from that, let me just say once again for the record, there's a new album coming out first, and maybe more. No dates yet, but they are definitely coming."
