As said above, his reliability is the same as yours. It's nothing more than your plain words that his mail adress is from hs, the normal user can't look into the database.

As mentioned, my belief in you is fairly high, but not unlimited. Don't go mad about things that are not there.

P.S.: sorry that I can't believe in you like you do.

You're even more skeptical than Scully from the x-files! :D

Well I host the bocpages, I'm in no position or don't have any valid reason to jeopardize this privilege by lying to anyone regarding all things BoC. Whether you trust me is up to you of course.

Its about the pattern of behavior. Whether this person is actually associated with BoC or not, from all the posts I've seen over the past few years this is someone who on the surface seems to revel in the attention brought to them by being perceived as connected to BoC. Nothing substantial ever pans out to be true, and we're left with the presence of this person growing ever larger.

Say this person is actually associated in some official capacity, than I find their actions to be an annoyance at best. Share only what you've been authorized to say or STFU. Either let BoC be some secretive band or give us real updates, but this being in the middle with the secretive insider 'information' is amateur hour nonsense.

Not that I was aware that this person is now a moderator. Why? I would rather have there be 100 pieces of speculation and rumor than to have one more 'official' bit of information turn out to be false. Its like going to a tech website to discover that someone at Sony runs the forum - sure there's some chance it would be non-biased but I certainly wouldn't proceed on faith alone.

You might argue that we're talking music, but there is a product to be sold here and a brand identity to be upheld. The BoC brothers are not some infallible super beings. They're human like the rest of us and if they fuck up we should feel free to hold them accountable. I certainly hope that the people who run Twoism wouldn't trade that for an illusion of access. Its a slippery slope, one of which this giving a hard time about the shirt would be just the beginning.

This is just a sole opinion on the matter, and one that I certainly hope I would be able to continue to express. Like I said Fredd, its nothing personal, and instead just an attempt to provide some honest feedback on what it looks like from out here.

The point is, we're told that mdg is here on the forum to wipe out the bullshit. That's ok, as long as we're told why things are bullshit.

But up to now, there is no communication with mdg. He behaves like the boc website. Sometimes, unexpectedly he gives out a bit of information, but you almost know that further enquiry isn't being answered.

Bryan is right. In the end you have a moderator on this forum who helps deleting information, something this forum lives on. Do we retrieve an adequate equivalent so this deal can be considered a good one?

Care for an example? "mdg: At this point, the box set of early material is looking 99% likely to happen."
Imho, this non-information doesn't justify the deletion of any obscure rumour about the set.

Like I said earlier in this thread. He said 2 days in advance that there will be black t-shirts. And don't try to write this off as guessing work by him. He obviously knew there were gonna be black shirts in the running. And to be honest, of all possible colours I wouldn't have expected them to be black. I was kinda surprised of it to be honest. Substantial enough for you?

An annoyance at best? My god... He should share what he's allowed to or STFU? What do you think he is doing right now?! He's sharing everything he's allowed to share with us! I'd be thankful for all the little tidbits of information we receive and the help in debunking the claims by trolls.

Which so called 'official' bit of information provided by MDG turned out to be false then?! If you're not implying this then you shouldn't have made this comparison.

How can a band fuck up? They don't owe you anything at all. And we're not trading anything around here; we're just glad we finally have someone around to stop the pestering of trolls. Unfortunately some people don't seem to appreciate that.

You're free to express whatever you want whenever you want. We're still an open forum where you can discuss freely. Hence I'm still replying to the matter.

Why things are bullshit? That seems to be a weird and easy question to ask? It's bullshit because it'st not true, what more clarification could one need? If person A says "new boc album next week" and MDG quotes this post and says: "false" then I honestly don't need more clarification on the matter. He just debunked someone's claim and as we can trust him there's no need to have more info. What more is there to say anyways when he's not allowed, yet, to give us the actual release date?!

And no communication? I agree he doesn't always reply to every query we do, but he has replied to our posts in the past as well.

And about the box, it being 99% likely to be released is not what I'd call non-information. And you should put it in its context:
MDG: "At this point, the box set of early material is looking 99% likely to happen. I say that because it hasn't been finally compiled yet. There's a big archive to get through, the obvious tracks that were on various demos and mixtapes given out to friends in the late eighties and early nineties, but also a huge amount of unreleased material that hasn't surfaced so far. There are hundreds of tracks for every year from say 1986 through to 1995, and then for every record BOC have released there are a mountain of tracks that didn't make it onto the record. So the time involved is the only issue from what I understand. There's been regular debate across here about what goes on them and in what order etc. But if you can be patient, these tracks will come out, and a whole lot you won't have heard yet too. Asides from that, let me just say once again for the record, there's a new album coming out first, and maybe more. No dates yet, but they are definitely coming."

I found that to be quite informative!

Enough has been said. This is slowely turning into an everlasting discussion.

Trust us or don't... it's not a big deal after all. All I hope is that we, or mdg, can proof to the non-believers on this forum that he is legit so no one have to doubt anymore.
