Well, maybe all the chatter about live performance in Glasgow on June 10th has something to do with the MUSICA ELECTRONICA/ MUSICA NOVA FESTIVAL @ GLASGOW UNIVERSITY (8 - 11 June)
http://www.music.gla.ac.uk/musicintheun ... vents.html

Seems like there will be multimedia shows and sculptures on display there. Maybe this accounts for the creative invites and (gauze for the sculptures) ? Seems too institutional for a BOC venue.

Yeah if they're just offering up the show to people who decode it, that's a pretty fucked up thing to do.

What's so wrong with this? I think this is quite a perfect relationship to have with fans - those who are genuinely interested enough to put forth this kind of effort receive the kind of thing they want so badly. Moreover, random people who have no interest are excluded. When I saw autechre, the show was amazing, but about 80% of the crowd there didn't even know who they were and talked loudly through the whole show, kind of ruining the experience. Honestly I can't imagine a more perfect relationship - super dedicated boc fans are given a shot to see boc in a their natural environment (literally a dream come true for some), and boc get to perform for the people who love them most. What's so wrong with that? Sorry for the derail, but it irks me to see a handful of people here actually trying to decypher the code, and the majority bitching about how retarded it all is. Go complain elsewhere.

No no no man you have me all wrong. I guess I didn't think about it being shared on a forum or something heh.. kinda out of it I guess, was tired. You make a good point, especially about the people who aren't big fans being there. Never thought it was a retarded idea, I'm very interested in the mystery of it all, but I was just missing the big picture.

Why is everyone saying it's going to be in Glasgow? I would have thought Edinburgh was more likely. They live near there.

Does anyone know any professional code-breakers?? Someone like Russel Crowe before he found out he was crazy in "A Beautiful Mind"

Yeah I live in a college town and I was thinking about bugging a math professor or something. Or my old logic professor.

After going back and pouring over Martyr's Monuments post on WATMM, I decided to do a little historical investigation and see if I could connect any dots.

Martyr's Monument is a memorial being built in the hamlet of Flotterstone--on the edge of the Pentland Hills--to commemorate those who died in the Covenantors movement and the Battle of Rullion Green. This battle took place in 1666 near Flotterstone in the Pentland Hills, on A702 trunk road. The battle saw hundreds of Scots loose their lives fighting for religious freedom against "Bluidy" Tam Dalyell and his Royalist Force.

Most modern accounts of the battle cite it as having been fought on the eastern slope of Turnhouse Hill, overlooking the valley of Glencourse Burn.

Now, if you look at the pictures which Martyr's Monument (the poster) was kind enough to provide for us, you wil find two that stand out:

The 2nd picture from the top, entitiled "A702" is clearly the road along which you will find Flotterstone, and from there the path leading to Turnhouse Hill and Rullion Green.

The third picture from the bottom is entitled "Turnhouse Hill".

After putting these pieces together, I honestly believe that whoever the Martyr's Monument character is, that he/she is legit. This just makes way too much sense to be bullshit. In fact, I think this is about the clearest information we have been given so far.

Yeah, I agree about the likelyhood of Edinburgh and we here have commented on those facts before... However, our only leads are from a visiting guest and the assumtion that they would play in the Pentalnds for a Red Moon event as they did in the past. It's all convenient. I hope it checks out, I'd like to go there again, especially for a live BOC event!

However, we have "legit" leads... the codes given by BOC on their own official site. And just how these codes tie in to a location is beyond us at the moment. So far NO visiting guest to either forum has had anything to say about the code. No hint, no acknowledgement. So really, we have almost no proof of either a performance or a party. All we have are these 2 codes:

Come help crack it. Maybe those visiting guests can add some value on the wiki site as well. Send anyone to this wiki site to contribute maybe we can do it before the buzzer!

now that would make sense. Only we already have too much code to deal with! :x
Unless, of course, it's a "key"
