I can't believe I haven't replied in this topic yet..
Maybe because I don't listen to many music that way. If I like a certain artist I sure have favorite songs but I never really think "this song is the worst I heard".. ok I might have songs I don't like as much as other songs.. but that's about it.

So no worst song of BoC by me.

i think my least favorite BoC song is p.c. (the one with the moans and all those samples from a porn flick) right before one of my favorites: Trapped 8)

So it's no more "the worst BOC track ever" but "your least favorite BOC track"...
When listening individually, everybody has his favorite tunes (on "Geogaddi" I often press the repeat button for June & Candy) and "less favorite" (on "The Campfire Headphase", Farewell Fire is just like Zoetrope, too long and boring). But these albums are not only a collection of songs, every track is a part of the puzzle, a detail that HAS to be here.
If someone who never heard BOC before begins with one of those short tracks (less than 30 sec or 1 min), he may say "OK, that's nice, but short, not very elaborate, I see no magic here, it's sweet but even a 5 years old kid could do the same..." (and there are many vignettes on their discography, so he may not understand why it takes so long to release a new album). Objectively, many of their short tunes may have nothing special, but they are part of the magic, and music is not meant to be a question of objectivity. So back where I started: there CAN'T BE a worst BOC track, just a "less" (or least) favorite.

Ruffian! You leave p.c. alone! It is the most BRILLIANT track BoC have ever produced!!!!!!!

Well, mabye not quite... but I do enjoy how the slut talking about colours 'decapitating' the other slut fades into porno moans... AFOT just wouldn't be the same without it!

I agree that most BoC tracks are awesome and I can't really point out one melody I don't like or that I skip...

What bothers me with BoC is the silences.. what's up with those?! I mean we wait 4 years for a cd and there are some blank parts... it might be artistic and stuff but I can't say I really like it...

Same goes for Magic Windows.

I was reading posts and realize at once, that i must register to write that:

Zoetrope is my favorite composition
Because it is a real great fullness and absolutely complete.
Zoetrope is deeper then many

(Ancient thread revive, sorry)

Dawn Chorus. The chord progression is unoriginal and the synth that comes in at :40 is obnoxious.

I also don't see how some people can like Amo Bishop Roden so much. While I like the chord progression a lot and can tolerate the song as a whole, I think the main synth is just too shrill-sounding for it to repeat non-stop for 6 minutes. It wears out my ears.

Well, like a lot of people I don't really care for those tiny sample-filled tracks off of Old Tunes like Iraq Says.

But as far as their more full-on tracks, I might get shit for saying this, but I really don't like Open The Light. It's just too cheesy and uninteresting.

Smokes Quantity.....without it and with Red Moss the MHTRTC could be much better :)

I really takes this track as the worst of all.

You may ask - why not An Eagle in your mind or Statue of Liberty or Dawn Chorus or Gyroscope or Powerline misfortune or even House of Abin'adab?

Because i see the potentional efforts with them. I'm really not fond of much of those tracks but in anyway they are not the same worst....like Smokes Quantity...i imagine how someone or many other persons slowly dying under this track till the end...really sic and hard to listen it :(

Rue the whirl. Out of place on an otherwise landmark of an album. And it's boring.

for me Gyroscope, although not because its annoying or anything, it just gives me this weird claustrophobic feeling that I don't much care for. kind of reminds me of how I feel reading House of leaves.
