after finally receiving my 160 in amazon credit (unfortunately only as an amazon promotional offer, not just general gift card. it can only be used on things sold by amazon, not sold by some third party through amazon) from the textbook trade-in that they lost.. and seeing no other viable option..

i did what any sensible person would do

i spent 120 of it on 12 different Yes CDs

Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

Looking forward to this arriving. Much sharper than the kit lens that came with my camera. It will hopefully become my walk around lens.

Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS 1 came in today.

I had to.

Used, in PERFECT condition, I saved about $800. And on top of that, he threw in two very high quality UV filters and a lens hood attachment for rainy weather/hot day sealing which would add about $400 to the price (though it was free).

I am in love. It's so heavy but I'm going to take it like a man because this is honestly the second most beautiful thing I've ever been able to use 8] first being my penis.

EDIT: Oh hey, cheers GH~ :D that's a MUCH more practical walk-around lens

Impressive. Nostalgia and Andrei Rublyov are also mindblowing movies. Definitively gonna buy one of these boxsets when I have the money.
