I recently watched this 1970's french animated film entitled The Fantastic Planet (La Planète sauvage). Ken Andrews of Failure was the one who turned me on to it. His best cd was named after the movie. The movie is very surreal and psychedelic. I don't think they still distribute this movie, so I would look for it on a bittorent website.

"This film takes place on a faraway planet where giants rule, and tiny humanoids must fight for their lives and their equality. A metaphor of class struggles."

That film is incredible. It is one that stays with you for days afterwards.

If you like the movies from " Greg Araki " [Totally Fucked Up, The Doom Generation, Nowhere] check his latest film: " Mysterious Skin " a fucked up story, [no surprise] with an exquisite score as ever!!! [ Slowdive, Curve, Cocteau Twins, Ride etc.] 8)

Just watched Jan Svankmajer's "Alice."

Um... very strange. I wish it wasn't dubbed. Actually, I thought the short film that accompanied it was just as interesting if not more so.

Definitely some cool stop-motion animation though.

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

Loved it. Although honestly right now I'm just kind of annoyed with how uncultured and difficult my cousin's girlfriend is when it comes to getting her to appreciate art.

She was a pain the last half of the movie.

But the movie was excellent, imo. I reccomend it to anyone.

Great film. Even Keanu was good in it (by his standards).
