Just bought about 10 books for my dissertation. So much money, luckily I chose a topic which I am genuinely interested in, so the books will be welcome on my shelf after I have finished with them.

It are simply a number of thin metal sticks which are bent at the sides so they can hold an album and can be hung so that they become a chain. It's probably easy to make yourself although I bought them from someone.
