Great movie. For the critics that "Didn't Get It", I feel sorry for you. Go see a Michael Bay movie.

Yes! I can't wait to see this! Jonnys score is amazing so I hope the film is.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

I may have posted about this before, but I own Falling Down (1993) on screener VHS and it is an absolutely brilliant - and very deep - social commentary. Highly recommended.

I watched Days of Heaven after seeing clips of it set to a Bibio song, and I must say, it has some gorgeous imagery in it.
You're gonna carry that weight.

Through a Glass Darkly

Probably the most brilliant film I've ever seen.

John Dies at the End! I am a big Don Coscarelli fan, the Phantasm series being one of my faves, not to mention Bubba Ho-Tep. This movie was a refreshing, twisted, trippy, brilliant offering..it's like Fear and Loathing meets Evil Dead or some crazy shit. And I believe it is based on a webcomic/series of some sort, thinking about giving that a read.

ALSO--Sound City! The new documentary by Dave Grohl, about the infamous studio. Recommend this to anyone with an interest in recording or music in general, it is all kinds of awesome. Tons of cool musicians talking about their memories/history with the studio.
The preparation for a dive is always a tense time.

Me too, such an amazing film. Really, undoubtedly a modern masterpiece.

I really felt for PSH when he didn't win the Oscar. (And Wack too... again).

Image Aw :(

Can't wait until they bring out the special edition DVD of this so i can go and buy it.

Sleepwalk With Me, starring and directed by Mike Birbiglia. I didn't think too much of it when I saw a preview and read about it a bit but it's actually quite funny and a good story.

Also really, really want to see John Dies at the End. Heard nothing but great things!

- La Femme Nikita, Leon the Professional (both Luc Besson)
- Coffee and Cigarettes (Jarmusch)

I liked Nikita and C&C, not so much Leon the Professional, but it had its moments.

I guess I found it a bit melodramatic but yeah, it was a good film. The ending was particularly good, in that way that when you detest a villain in a movie and he's finally delivered the justice he deserves.
