I think the whole set up last night across from Rough Trade required quite a lot of effort just to confirm the position of a previous clue.

Not saying the venue in the film is or isn't relevant, but maybe there's something we've missed, or more to come from that venue in London.

We found a drawing in a toilet at an abandoned gas station in the middle of a desert that we identified from a video shown in the streets of another continent. That MUST be boc, so desperate are we.

Our children will laugh at us in the future.

I've found more evidence!

I definitely think there is more to come from that venue. It's not finished.

I'm going to be very surprised if getting people to find the exact location of the gas station was part of the plan. It doesn't seem logical; unless there were going to be more clues later on.

I'm still intrigued by the antenna tower that is nearby it, that seems WAY more relevant than standard number poles or other everyday nonsense... Or it could just be coincidence. But they wouldn't slack off on the last clue - it's going to be more of a task. And judging from the way they had us put the soundcloud clips together, it's going to require more work than that, I imagine. But still in line with the audio theme. Creepy tones or GTFO.

I'm still not gonna qualify the images as being fake, if only for the fact that it's the most coherent lead that we currently have. Notice that there are no zero's in the set of digits. It is extremely unlikely that a pseudo-random (for example an encrypted string) set of 36 base 10 digits would contain no zero's. I personally interpret the 4 bathroom images this way: the set of 36 digits should be chunked in four (the number of drawings in the bathroom) groups of 9 (the number of greenish bars in each drawing) digits. Each digit (or bar) is construed from 2 entities of data each (as indicated by the 2 lines that lead to every bar). Possibly we have to factorize or otherwise disassemble every digit into 2 digits. These 2 digits may be either constant for every digit in the 36 digit set (this logic can be inferred from the drawings if you interpret each 2 of the convergence points as being 2 constant integers which could somehow be used to generate each digit), or dynamic, ie. a different set of 2 numbers each resulting in a certain digit). For the latter alternative factorization is an option. For instance, the first number in the 36 digit set is '6', which can be generated by either multiplying 1 and 6 or 2 and 3 (thus 1,6 and 2,3 being the two digits that are the two convergence points in each drawing). Given the rather extreme improbability of the lack of zero's in the 36 digit set, they might be hinting at multiplying two positive integers (greater than 0) to yield each digit, or either way some formula that would never yield a zero.

Just thinking out loud, everything could be fake and I might be wrong, I realize that. But I'm not so much desperate to unearth the new album title as I'm a sucker for number puzzles ;).

OK, been out all evening (no choice! On the orders of the Mrs). So, nothing's happened then?

QUESTION: who worked out where this Yermo / abandoned filling station was? Do we know that a fan worked this out from the Rough Trade blip, or is it someone posing as a fan who could be a WARP / BOC connection??

Incidentally, when I was in the States a couple of years ago I was only about 2 hours drive from Yermo. Bummer!

Here's the explanation from the reddit user: http://www.reddit.com/user/tradica

"Abandoned fuel stations of the American west typically have a distinct mid-century appearance. They're from a time when traveling by airplane was an expensive luxury and many American families were moving west.
I didn't know exactly where the projected image was, but I knew what it was. I did a Google image search for abandoned gas station California desert. [...]"

Thank you. Seemed a bit of a random find. Was wondering whether the 'find' was actually a plant. However, looks like this guy is established over there. In which case, well done them - amazing find

It may not be completely shocking; that could be the same process for how the location was scouted in the first place.

There was also a rad "punks not dead" spray painted in blue in the shitter and an empty box of Miller Genuine Draft. It was a 30 pack for those interested.

Hopefully I didn't ruin anybody's Saturday.

Yes, please! Or Vancouver, B.C. would work too.

Btw, do we know if that projection near (or at?) Rough Trade is still playing? Is there anything to be seen or heard from that location currently?

either there's an owl there with a clue, or mr. acidart is going a very long way for a laugh.

Were did this pic come from? The Photoshopped pattern from the tiles imposed as a "bush" you mean?
