FUCK YES, FUCKING FINALLY.

I am filled with happiness, never have I anticipated a new BoC album, since I've only known them the last 7 years, but fuck yes. I really think I have never been this happy in my life. Got the preorder, and just ordered myself a Geogaddi poster kinda thingy which is approx 2 by 3 meters, for in my living room. Fuck yes.

Can't believe I've had no access to the internet until now to join in all this with you guys. Got the vinyl, CD and all 3 t shirts pre-ordered now. What an amazing week, truly incredible. Thanks to all twoism members for making the experience what it was and thanks to Boards of Canada for concocting such a thrilling release. So happy right now.

Last week I posted a comment in the speculation thread about someone I no that works at Warp. I said that I may message him to find out if he new anything and if it was him that delivered that 12' in New York as I no he gets about a fair bit. Anyway, I thought better of it and didn't bother.
I log into my Facebook this morning and see that he added a comment saying, "well that was fun" to the Pitchfork news feed regarding BOC'S new album! So I thought now its out in the open I'll message him and see what he thought about all. Turns out he was helping the brothers set this all up!!!!!
He did say though that if I had messaged him last week he couldn't have told me anyway which is fair enough, but I thought I'ld share this as thought this was pretty damn cool!

i'd keep an eye on that cosecha site, the video could change over the next month, perhaps several times with more album teasers

First thought when waking up this morning: "Was it all a dream?" Immediately checked the computer, nope - it's real. So hyped.

madness to buy that 20 second dubplate that probably won't be played but wouldn't last the vinyl time anyway. ok, £100 max but hey...
as someone pointed out, there could be lots more of these and not 6, shipped out
with pre-orders, then you're fucked... in the ass!

First time a Boards album has been released since I became a fan of them, too, it's just occurred to me. Makes me realise how long (and also how not long, in a way) I've been a fan for.

Ditto. It's really annoying me.

Not sure if it's a movie poster, or a book cover.

Nice find re Alameda - the base was used by the US navy as home port for some of it's nuclear aircraft carriers during the cold war - I sense a theme....

Howdy, Twoism

loooooong time lurker finally stung into action. Just wanted to give virtual high-fives to you all. I've been reading these forums for years and years now, through endless speculation threads, divergent trains of thought and all those calls for MDG to crop up and please, please, just say *something*

So now it's happened - we've got the new release coming, and how many (if any) of you dared think it would be so exciting, so brilliantly teased? Who imagined you would all have such a big part in it? For a band who doesn't interact with their fanbase, they sure seemed to have the measure of us. :D

So, yeah. Thanks to the mods, the contributors, the members with the bright ideas, the speculators, the dreamers and those who are nifty with their google-fu. It's been a pleasure to watch. (well... mostly)

as an aside - last week when this was all just gearing up, in a fit of excitement, I went and made an image that seemed suitably BoC-ish and posted it around my online profiles, being all giddy about it. I was quite surprised when the 'Tomorrow's Harvest' artwork was revealed at the end of the video yesterday.

I hope it sounds like Chinook, which is one of their most sinister songs (and also one of my favs).

1.) Google searched "Semena Mertvykh". Nothing but BoC-related results.
2.) Decided to try searching "Semena Mertvykh -boards of canada"
3.) First result contained "he states: "Khristos iz mertvykh voskres, budet to" with the title "...Romance re- and Russian voz-"
4.) FoxLingo Translation --> Russian To English (Google Translate)
5.) Semena Mertvykh --> Semena Mertvykh ??
6.) "*Did you mean Семена Мертвых*?
7.) Семена Мертвых --> Seeds of the Dead

Another thought: the use of the Russian language in track-list (Cold War...)

What are you talking about? I can help with russian.

Can you verify the accuracy of this translation?

Hey guys, I've been lurking the last few weeks, thanks for the good times :D

Has anyone thought that the last half of Autechre's Recks On sounds a little like a particularly dark Boards of Canada?

http://youtu.be/4znpQmVz9OM?t=3m55s

Including the creepy indistinct vocals from 6:55... I wouldn't mind if Tomorrow's Harvest was headed in that sort of direction :D

*awaits cries of heresy from BoC purists/Autechre haters*

Yeah this great. Uncanny! Almost makes me think it's a shame they didn't use London in the album shot :)
