I don't either tbh.

But if something does, I wont have the willpower to resist listening to it.

Not long now though and hopefully bleep will ship it or make the digital available early to match the Japanese release date.

I'm ambivalent about it. If they'd played a new song tonight I probably would have listened, not gonna lie, but I'm getting the album in 20 days (maybe sooner if bleep gives us our downloads when it's released in Japan) so I can't really complain. A whole new album of new chunes! I've got nothing to complain about on that score. It's not like they owe me anything, so this is just extra frosting on the cuppycake.

I'd listen to it, but I don't think I'd listen to it very much, just once for a sort of "preview" and also because I don't know how much more I can take... I'm very very curious as to where their sound has travelled. (8 years is a long time)
you don't care to hear until you listen

Agreed.

You have at least 2 classic rock stations in any given area that play exactly the same thing, about 5 country stations that all play exactly the same thing I'm sure, then you have at least one station posing as some sort of 'hip' alternative thing but it's actually just more top 40 indie shiz, possibly a top 40 'rock' station, then you have a rabble of top 40 hip hop and rap stations. Then, there is the conservative / liberal talk radio stations feeding the same fucking bullshit day in and day out...

That pretty well covers it.

Don't you have any community/college radio stations near you? Especially if you live in a large city there should be atleast one or two stations like that. That's what i listen to when im in the car or whatever.

Actually, I volunteer at a little community radio station. Local college / community radio is really the only way to go if you actually have a taste in music.

Let's be honest.......we all miss the master........John Peel

He would have sorted this shitfuckery out once and for all and would have had the boys in the station, drinking tea and telling us everything we wanted to hear.

Nobody.....is ever going to replace that man

r.i.p.

He was a national treasure. I used to listen to his shows religiously. I met him at a Reading Festival in the mid 90s and he was lovely. He recommended a few bands to catch during the weekend, Stereolab, dEUS, and Prolapse.

His son does quite a good show though, it's usually worth tuning in.

"In our front section this month: Gregg Allman on Muscle Shoals; Boards Of Canada; Thee Oh Sees; Mississippi Records; Jeff Tweedy & Mavis Staples" front section might mean there's something bigger there. might not though..
