Personally if you ask me, it sounds like a Boreal Network track oddly enough...it sounds a lot like it.

For those who missed it (don't feel guilty, they gave everyone permission to record the first three tracks): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbcPgtPrsds

Probably the best of the tracks we've heard so far but that isn't saying much.

I much liked this track as well! I had to go back and re-listen as the Ustream feed forced me to watch a video in the middle of this song :?

Like several others have mentioned, this track has a very John Carpenter-esque vibe to it, something that I really love! His film soundtracks (especially the 1980's ones) are some of my favourite peices of electronic music out there. Can't wait to hear it properly! :)
The preparation for a dive is always a tense time.

Really? I felt by far Gemini was the best so far. Fantastic track and possibly their best opener yet (I'd have to hear it in higher quality).

It reminds me of Synthetrix Plays Boards of Canada. His (?) version of Kaini Industries I think.

I get the feeling the fellow who did thequitus review was throwing us a bone. He talked about it being dark, and he talked about being fatigued at the end....

This album will be more challenging then the last I imagine.

It is possible that the two songs out already through warp and the thing in Detroit are the most BOC sounding and the others are more difficult. Personally I welcome the more advanced stuff.

Two songs out through warp plus Detroit thing? It's just the Detroit thing and RFTD, no?

Sorry i'm new to the internet. But that's what I meant two songs (total) one on Bleep and one posted by warp Detroit music festival.

It's a personal preference thing but if it's okay to post that here. I'm very excited to hear some of the more experimental side of BOC. To be honest I actually enjoyed many of the shorter bits on Trans Canada Highway, and the more drone tracks like concourse, and corsair.

This album is turning out to be a heavy hitter for me, based on the little bit we all heard a few minutes ago.

Okay np I think we're allowed to post opinions. I know it sounds a little silly to say that it doesn't sound like BOC since we know they've made this music. But I do hear a definite change in direction, but perhaps it;s just me, a brief listen just once of a less than perfect sound quality I could be way off. One thing I bet we can agree on is this is going to be massive.

I really liked this one! Although it has some of their hallmarks I'm not sure I would have guessed it was boc if I didn't already know.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

Of course you're allowed to post your own opinion! I wasn't knocking it at all, just saying I gotta disagree with it.

Yes, it will certainly be massive..perhaps immense?

I got the Boreal Network vibe as well. Big fan of her work. Nicely done, Boards..can't wait to hear this on wax.

For those who don't know, I'd like to give Boreal Network a little push. Did a feature on her last record back in 2011 (and I also put together a sampler for the new one, whenever that may come out). Click here for the article and here for her website.

:)

Agreed! Though, who is saying Warp has changed them? Haven't heard that from anyone.

a low drone synth creeps in at 1:42 that begins to consume the entire track. some faint percussion starts at around 2:06. epic little piece
