Could White Cyclosa be related to Split Your Infinities?

If you watch the video (below) where they took the background monologue in Split Your Infinities from (or read about FEMA Camp conspiracy theories) the theme of helicopters comes up a lot. This includes the possibility that the government will use them to transport people to the camps in the event of martial law or a major disease outbreak. Maybe this is the point in the album's 'plot' in which the government has begun to intern people at these camps due to disease outbreak (because of other song titles i.e. "Sick Times", "Cold Earth", and "Come to Dust"). Gemini, as the first track, was maybe the name of the disease created by the government to diminish the population and give a front for why citizens must report for relocation to FEMA camps via helicopter.

White Cyclosa is a spider that sets up decoys or scapegoats of in its likeness to draw attention away from itself and successfully kill, just as the government might set up scapegoats of "terrorism", "disease outbreak", or other instances to sustain its survival in the face of threat.

Well, I'm just throwing all my ideas out related to this song as I think about their interview where they said there might be a plot and we want listeners to figure out what's happening in the album.

I think the bass / bass drum or whatever at the end of White Cyclosa is eerily similar to the drums in Split Your Infinities and I think there might be a connection indeed. Thematically for sure. I am still on the fence about whether this record was intended to be mixed and re/deconstructed the way some are suggesting. Changing the order of tracks perhaps but beyond that seems a little weird to me.

I just got very hung up on the idea of a plot after reading their quotes about being inspired by 70s/80s horror film soundtracks. No doubt, White Cyclosa sounds like it comes directly from the tracklist of "Halloween" or "The Exorcist."

I agree that the deconstruction could be taken too far with his, I just couldn't help seeing at connection between White Cyclosa and Split Your Infinities because of the helicopter/FEMA Camp stuff

Indeed! When I first heard the track, I had a nagging feeling that I'd heard it before. Then when the 'tune' came in, it hit me - Day of the Dead!

I'm quite disappointed by how directly they seem to have copied things for the album, to be honest. Are Semena Mertvykh and this the only ones? I mean, I understand it's most likely done out of respect towards the original composers, but I'm one of those people who can't help thinking how lazy Tomorrow's Harvest sounds at places, already without knowing how much of it was borrowed from elsewhere.

Hey, I always noticed a faint similarity between Telepath and Live to Tell, but I thought that was so far fetched that I thought it wasn't even worth mentioning. Funny to realise I wasn't far from the truth at all.

But I don't bother at all with those "borrowed" bits, after all, Everything Is a Remix. And BoC have been very open about that on the interviews, and their borrowings are always somehow twisted to maintain their mark.

I do like the album a lot and think any possible borrowings are put to good use, but still, it takes some originality away from the work that I at first credited solely to them.

For example, what is Telepath then, after all? Just the borrowed melody with some pretty straight forward radio speech laid on it. No special twists, except for the 666 thing which is quite worn out and predictable. I like the track, but I feel it doesn't offer much to explore, hence the laziness.
