I know that ONTHE88 mastered it, but I want to share my attempt of clearing and improving the sound of this lovely recording.
Sourced from lately found original cassette rip.

I know this is not perfect, but did my best.

I hope you'll like it. Enjoy.
Thanks in advance for acclaim.

Thank you, but I think you maybe added a bit too much filter here? If you compare Sixtyniner for example, I feel it takes a lot of space away from the track to breathe. What about if you didn't remove hiss from this one but did some EQing only?

You're absolutely right. I think now it's clearer. Thanks for advice, I'll do the same thing to rest tracks with same problem.

I apologize my confusing wording, I meant the whole album could be left with the hiss. It's nowhere near as disturbing as with R35TT (subjective, but in my view). So we're left with more if we don't filter anything out.

Okay, but Boc Maxima have much better quality than R35TT, and I was a bit lazy and unexperienced with filtering year ago, so some tracks sound crappy. IMO most tracks on Maxima sound way better without hiss.

If you feel that way, you should remove the hiss of course. I just find it's not burying instruments here in the same way as on R35TT, but just my view again.

I'm not sure if you misunderstood me, I didn't mean your R35TT remaster at all - you did marvellous work with it. :P I was/am talking about the "original" R35TT files. I should probably retain from posting after a night of bad sleep.

What do you think of this new remaster? This time the sound is not overcompressed...

Thanks for this. Mind you, the only track I'm really interested in on this is Whitewater. The best of the rest you can find better copies on other albums/EPs
