Oh Jesus, I remember moving our mortgage to HSBC - we'd found a fantastic deal, so didn't want to lose out. All went fine, until...

HSBC - " ok, Mr Taylor, that's everything set up for you. And how will you be paying the £500 deposit today?"

Me "............"

There was no mention of a deposit until that point.

Don't get me started! Ignoring the fact they took the £400 arrangement fee without telling us (we'd been told we wouldn't be asked for that until we'd signed the deeds etc), we've virtually had to produce our school reports, dental records and a signed witness statement from the Pope.

The exact opposite of the last mortgage I took out, which was the equivalent of meeting a bloke outside in the pub carpark and picking up the cash in a plain brown envelope in non-sequential bills.

Aye, times have changed. When I was getting my 1st (2004), I was virtually shown a skip full of money, labelled "free cash".

005 micron pen. I go through about 2 of these a week, it's such a pain in the ass. Everyone says to switch to a rapidograph but I've been using felt tips for so long everything else feels wrong.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

I know you feel. I am so selective over what pens I write with, it's borderline insane..

Had a razz around the local charity shops today. Got all these for under £4. Excuse the quality of the pics. My camera is borked.
