Thanks very much man. I see you've got yourself a new name and avatar (I recognise your avatar from the photography thread). :D

Indeed :D and you and GH were very kind, if I didn't say so already. I gave up on this stuff a few years ago, but have been encouraged to give it another look. These are my two favorite threads, and this one is fairly intimidating. Everything on this page (edit: last page) is awesome! I could never get faces right, and found some old drawings recently that were all faceless. I'll have to dig some more things up.

Faces are my favorite to draw. I have a hard time with the proportions on arms/hands. You can always see all the little tricks I use to hide them.

I apologize for the poor quality, but here is an envelope I am working on right now for a penpal:

I guess this is more of a "craft" than "art" but I also design and make accessories:

Hat (I don't actually dress like this, I just wanted to match the hat)

Thanks rainier! :) I had an offer of purchase at the show, that was strange!

Your work is great!

You have a very lucky penpal. And the needle work is amazing.

Woah that envelope is awesome rainier. Is that a real butterfly? If so how did you attach it.

It's an acrylic painting I did on another piece of paper and decoupaged on. I do have a collection of dead butterflies I found though that I want to make a shadow box with (I found them! Definitely didn't kill them.) Here's a few of my favorites. I have so many bugs/bones/weird curios I've found over the years.

Two or three summers ago, everything started to fall to bits - my camera, my yellow plastic chair, my computer, the plumbing, etc. It was hot and for various reasons I felt a bit miserable, but maybe I was more of a clever person/had more of a sense of humour back then? I drew this while the repairmen were fixing the pipes (at least the room wasn't flooded anymore by then.) I haven't recovered all the stuff that broke down yet...

I went round to see some friends and they had loads of sheets of fuzzy felt and pva glue out on the table, making silly finger puppets and stuff. I was really fucking drunk when I made this masterpiece. So drunk in fact, I headbutted their fish tank trying to get a closer look at all of the little fishes :D

The Guggenheim Museum have already been in contact and said they're interested in displaying my work but I think I'm gonna hold out for a better offer tbh.

Wish I had the ability to get higher quality flicks of my stuff, but here's some stuff I'm working on. Obsessed with my neon sharpies and microns and ballpoints these days

I'm kind of nervous because tomorrow I'm bringing artwork to get scanned for my friend to sell on her website that's sort of a new age gifty store type place and I'm afraid she's not gonna like my current work.

Yeah I do fairies and mermaids and stuff but lately everything is set in this like nightmare pschedelic dr. Suess graffiti world. I LOVE what I've been doing, but I always get self conscious people are gonna be like "this would be would be so nice if it was less weird"

Anyone else have experience with selling stuff and feeling pressure to change things to be more accessible to buyers? I know I could sell a ton more stuff if I did that, but I'm not really happy about doing that. I just wanna draw what I want to draw.

You should definitely share! I wish I had like a nice sturdy sketchbook I could fill, I think that would be satisfying. Instead I just draw on loose leaf and stick my drawings in this giant vintage book of kittens to protect them (protect the drawings, not the kittens, that would be crazy).

It's getting cold out so I am all about the crochet design right now.

Loving these!
My wife has been trying to learn crochet for a while now. Seems flippin' fiddly to this ham-fisted bloke here

Here's a video I did with one of those Hot Wheel™ camera cars and paired it with a Tycho soundtrack.

I'm working with someone to get this live by summer. A site dedicated to the deeper cuts of post-Nixon to pre-Clinton nostalgia and the emerging world of graphic and fine arts, film, music and even lifestyles that appear to be building around it. The memories you can't quite put your finger on. The words at the tip of your tongue. A smell that stops you in your tracks and reminds you of something you haven't thought of in decades.
