I hope that all of this gets resolved...

EDIT: Everything will work out! :D

Did you hear from MDG?

No, I actually don't know how to get in touch, haha. Can anyone direct me to his email?

Give it a day or two. He will probably read this thread lol.

Haha! Okay. I wouldn't even know what to say to him.

"CAN I RELEASE TAPE MASTERS FOR CANCER?"

I can only imagine the chatter going on in the background, considering the deafening silence on this thread.

What you are doing is very noble, however i would wait for at least some kind of sanction...there may be something on the cards officially?

I agree with OP for the most part, she isn't restricting access to these files for money - only using them as a form of publicity for a relatively selfless cause (if true). I wont be donating and nobody else has to. It's One Very Important Difference that payment is optional and stated to be for another cause.

BoC have hinted in the past that they would touch up their back catalogue and release it. If I remember correctly those hints were years ago. I don't think we'll ever see them released, at least not commercially or in the short term future. From One Source All tapes Depend; the community.

I just want to hear the music in the best possible quality, if the community produces this before BoC themselves then so be it.

I hope that this will actually push them towards releasing their previous works.

Release these tapes and then marry me?

These old tunes have the right to children. We've tasted the sampler nectar.

Would davinci prefer an accurate replica or a compressed jpg blurry phone shot of Mona Lisa?

boc should release some old stuff that we'll of course buy. And if they need a top off, signed copies would sell for so much!

Again, just rambling out loud :D

Still tracking this thread. It's interesting !

We're the kinda fans that will listen to pocket mic recordings through someone's jeans and drunk chatter. Regardless boc fans will persevere!

I wonder how many people here would sell their organs to get signed copies of OT or something from that era

I know I would

The fact that nobody has ever requested that these releases be removed from http://rareboc.ax.lt/ (which has been publicised on this site enough that I'm sure MDG, and hence BoC, must know about it) makes me think that the powers that be are willing to let this slide. The tunes are already out there, so we might as well hear them in the best quality available. The BoC community has a strange habit of shooting itself in the foot when rare stuff comes up, with the most notable example happening last year when fans took exception to the selling of the tapes on eBay, which resulted in them being destroyed by Mike Paradinas. Mike knows the band and was selling the tapes for his own personal gain yet nobody from the BoC camp came forward to stop that either; just the fans. I guarantee that everyone who is against their release already owns illegitimate copies of them, so it seems a tad hypocritical to oppose their release, doesn't it?

Not to get too off topic but even if boc released soundboard rips of
Those shows we all know well by now we'd go crazy'

I know that sound board rip of Julie and candy that was part of the tomorrow's harvest arg took me by storm! I still wonder where that came from? Boc themselves I can assume since it's a YouTube account with one video and a cryptic avatar/username ?

I would hope and sorta think they'd chose others tracks from their 80,000,000 song archive if they ever did a release. These weren't meant for pubic ears, so quality of the tape not, they may not even want to remaster/release these tracks. With an archive as monstrous as theirs, these tracks are but a mere spec on the wall. Plus, it'd be worth more time imo to hit us with a bunch stuff we never knew about, since we already have these, no need for the same pony in a new dress, or something like that, when they have such a massive arsenal. Plus, there are a ton of tunes they made during and b/t albums that they may be more "proud" of, or feel are more release-worthy.

They're probably laughing at us, saying geez, if only they knew of half of the other 8 million tracks that haven't leaked. They are really caught up on these handful of tracks. :D

Anyway, sorry to hear about the sad circumstances surrounding this.

You are all so sweet! I will do another sampler of a few snippets before I release them.
EDIT: IF nothing changes by tomorrow, these tracks will come in a bundle of lossless sides, with artwork for each. It's up to you guys if you want the bootleg cover art for "R35TT" or not, because it's obviously not graced by the brothers themselves. It will include:

1. A Few Old Tunes
-Side A/B
-HQ cover art scan
-HQ cassette scan
2. Old Tunes Volume 2
-Side A/B
-HQ cover art scan
-HQ cassette scan
3. "R35TT"
-Side A/B

I will post a link to a PayPal in my signature, all donations welcome, BUT NOT REQUIRED BY ANY MEANS.

I've always been a little skeptical about how much they still have in the bank from 1987-1994 or so that we don't know about. There is a LOT of music known about from that era, whether we've heard it all or not. How much music can some people figuring out how to be creative make in that amount of time after all? ;)

I really think if we got to hear complete copies of the other old releases, the only other treasure trove would be the pile of music they made between 1998 and 2002 for Geogaddi. I'm sure there is some other stuff since then but I'd think they've slowed down since TCH. I've just gotten the feeling since then that it isn't as effortless as it used to be.
