Yeah, everything will be the same at the other side.
Avatar, rank, postcount etc. Only the template will change.

and grats mexi.

wouldnt it be better to lock the form *before* the database script is run, such that no posts are lost?
or does the database transform take a long time?

There is no database script to run as the build in migration tool doesn't work. ;)
This database will be downloaded and via a clever workaround which Angel figured out it will be uploaded to the new forum.

Once the database is imported a lot of tweaks and modifications have to be done. Once they are all implemented we will test the heck out of it. If it is alright twoism.org will be back on Tuesday with a few posts lost from the moment I'll announce the database backup till the old board is closed. I'll lock the forum probably on Monday.

This is also one of the reasons I kept on postponing the migration because the build in option to migrate the database to phpBB3 didn't work and I don't have the knowledge to do a workaround. Angel is tha man, he did not only created a custom template but he also assisted me a lot with technical stuff.

I'm relieved when this is over. :)

Btw, congratulations with your birthday Mark!

I'm glad everything went smooth. Took me (and Angel) quite some time the past couple of weeks.

Time to relax and enjoy this pleasant adventure!

Indeed, you and angel deserve all the plaudits.. its a lovely step forward for the community. Pour yourself a little something and admire what you've achieved man! :)

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…
