Agree, Palace Posy is very good, especially if you listening to it as whole album.
Like, the track before, Collapse (ground zero), which is really massive, dense and loud, we're throwing in to this colorful, vivid and uplifting track. But there's something very wrong underneath. Like you said, the people are in the Palace, they are dancing, but their realisation depends on how much they dance.
If you dancing on the rise of Apocalypse, you can have fun of your life, but eventually you will acknowledge it.

This is interesting I have thought of Palace Posy as man or some other animal developing a new culture after being bombed back into the stone age. The last sound before it, that slow static sounds to me like the last thing someone might hear before being bombed and becoming nothing, like an attack jet passing overhead or its missile.

Halfway through the track a primitive celebration starts, with dancing and chanting around a big fire, maybe fueled by old telephone pole pieces.

You described it very well, amazing track!

Agree Palace Posy is very primitive,
, like the scattered vocal voices like fragments of our modern society, as Collapse comes, the point of no return, people start slowly realize it, but they also will deny it, as Lazerize, the dancing as Posy of incredible desperation they feeling. Maybe because the next track, Split Your Infinities, like the possible future after the collapse, it still sound pretty much technological and futuristic.

Its interesting to me to think of the album as two cycles or two stories about a beginning a collapse and a new and different beginning and knowing the past shall repeat. An endless cycle of doom.

I often listen to BoC on bus/train journeys as I'm falling asleep. TH is a popular choice for this. Palace Posy always wakes me up a bit, especially when the voices come in at the end. But I'm not totally awake, so I remember it like a dream. I usually drift off again then wake up just before my journey ends, which is usually during New Seeds. There's that beautiful melody at the end and again, as I'm still half asleep, it really has a strange emotional impact on me.

Then I get off the bus and walk home, and Come To Dust brings me right back to reality. It's like the end credits of the film. Great song to walk to, especially when the weather is dramatic. I always feel on the verge of crying.

If CTD is the end credits then Semena Mertvykh is like a little hidden extra that comes after the credits. Shot on grainy b/w video, it takes place after the bleak events of the film. But it's even bleaker.

Until I discovered this board a couple of hours ago, I figured that thoughts like that would get me sectioned.

Saw it on facebook the other day. Brought a tear to my eye. I see it every single day, but it never fails to impress me with it's greatness.

TCH is my soundtrack. It's not like my life is all uppity, but I always try to enjoy every little thing. So many things to enjoy, so little time
