Hey Cold Birth thanks for the reply , firstly I want to say that TH is my first boc album , I actually found an interesting article about Geogaddy which really hooked me and bocpages before announcement of TH which l noticed pretty accidentally , so that week from record store accident to actual announcement was pretty mindblowing, reading and searching through all these information was so much fun. And when the actual release came in this was just tears of joy how l was hyped. And the tracklist got these weird combination of words and meanings was just the coolest thing l ever saw in albums. It was dark and sci fi together with that album cover l was in immediately . As for the music when the album got released l listened to it in parts the first 4 tracks were just beyond and Palace Posy was the weirdest thing on the album, but after the last track came in l got that little disappointing feeling, is this all? So l got several stages of loving this album , this is the boc album l listened most, tho every boc album is amazing, this is the most fun dark twisted music l had and it also sound very honest to me . So basically this is my experience with the album and boc overall , l think this was pretty cool and l honestly could not see what they gonna release next , will l still care ,l guess we have to wait and see. Cheers

Anecdote: Right after I blind bought "The Bleeding Edge" this year based on last year's hype around "Inherent Vice", I stumbled on a review of Tomorrow's Harvest (I think on Vice.com, oddly enough lol) that wasn't very good but was interesting in how the writer ( also oddly enough) really, really wanted to compare the Sandisons to Pynchon.

Still haven't read his books yet, so it remains to be seen how I feel about that, but when I listened to a podcast featuring PT Anderson later on he said something about Pynchon that immediately rang true with feelings toward BOC, which was something to the effect of, "It's like he knows something that nobody else in the world knows and refuses to say what it is." Weirdly, it also seems like in addition to that, the bros also know something that everyone feels but doesn't always know how to express, and that kind of contradictory enigma, for me, seems to have carried over via the sound of TH and then some. Still can't really describe the effect the album has on me that well.

I heard or read that PTA interview also, but I can't remember when. Having read most Pynchon, it does feel like a complex of ideas and knowledge are right there behind the words mixing and churning into a singular point. You can definitely sense it. To a much lesser degree Robert Anton Wilson is similar. And that's how I feel about (and enjoy) Boards too, that literary quality. Its the result of being interested in everything I think.

Ever since the TH campaign, specifically the Lake Delores event, that park has been used several times in major campaigns and photo shoots. The latest example:

Someone on Reddit found this http://swling.com/blog/2014/03/how-to-t ... shortwave/

Maybe this is how we should listen to Tomorrows Harvest. (BOC pirate station)
imagine you are in an isolated outpost somewhere and trying to find something on your receiver and you tune into this...

A DAC and an amp make TH sounds much better, I'll admit it, but I'll still need to hear it with my good headphones to see if I'll like it

Most inbuilt DACs these days on pcs, laptops, tablets and phones are at least half-way decent. The actual speakers or headphones themselves make the most difference in my experience, the rest I view mainly as placebo. Not saying there isn't a difference, but whether it is as perceptible as people think is another matter for me.

Basically, look forward to using those good headphones :]

I'm sure it's perceptible to someone with a lot of training an experience in audio. In an purpose built room, with professional acoustic treatment, and very expensive speakers.

To most of us, nope.

I kinda have to agree with that...That's not saying I don't think TH isn't an amazing piece of music, it achieves what the album is all about in all its decadent glory.

Its as much if not more about the atmosphere its creating rather than prioritising on melody which is why TH works so well with moving images.

Conceptual Decadence is my middle name.

Well actually it's Edward.

Anyway, I prefer that to it being purely aesthetic with nothing underneath it all. Though I doubt BOC would ever make an album like that...
