Aaw shikes.

I'm really having fun with this setup. It's extremely unforgiving.

I made this dumb fucking thing for the last cliff meet and it was gonna go on a tape I think - maybe it did? I was too out of it to tell. Then I was gonna enter it in the "fake old tunes" thing but forgot the deadline. So anyway, it doesn't deserve a thread and I guess it would've been funnier a few years ago but enjoy my tribute to Hell Interface anyway. :) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0Spo0 ... sp=sharing

Yeah, microtonal will always sound a little kooky to our 12-TET ears. We've become accustomed to the western tonal system, but most cultures arrived at similar tonalities, suggesting it's a product of the overtone series. I think microtonality breaks out of that so it sounds quite foreign :P

been doing a lotta mock soundtrack work, aka scoring a movie that doesn't exist. taking a decidedly classic sound with the synths, I'd love some feedback!

I'm assuming posting work that you've recently put out is fair game in this thread:

I just recently released a new song and limited 7" vinyl lathe cut for it.

experimental/post-witch house/probably not the majority of this forum's cup of tea-core

If you're interested though here's the bandcamp and soundcloud streams:

Been working on more mixes than music lately. I'd consider it research I suppose.

nearing the end of my staycation. 1.5 days left. have to say this is the best thing that has came out of it. was able to sit down and really work on a track without distractions or worries being on vacation from work. and it was enough time to develop what i wanted to and make some artwork as well. ALSO was able to go to my brothers house and use his home studio and mainly his drum kit. Fuck, i'm glad i did that. Percussion is not my strong suite when it comes to a computer, but give me some real drums and i will slap them like yo momma. (anyway, enough half drunken ranting) here's the track.

Just finished "Mouth Glued Shut", First full-length track I've fleshed out and felt okay with in a few months (been recording little tracks for my own amusement in the meantime):

lol dude stuff is pretty quality, but lord almighty does it all rip off of boc.

which is not always a bad thing. just kind of want it to hear your stuff switch up more.

tracks have some promise tho definitely.

I didn't feel this warranted its own thread yet since this board isn't a classifieds forum but I've decided to start producing albums again. It's for free, or a "pay as you want based on the service you received" as it's simply for future reference/practice with my new gear.

I still very often see many new members share their work. We've got a number of core members frequently producing top notch material but a lot more that go under the radar for the very reason of their sound not standing out enough. I'd be more than willing to help anyone who doesn't feel they've found the right sound on their own.

I don't have the original mix of Sanctum (prior to mastering for One on Twoism VI) but that along with the Simulate Televangelist self-titled and what you'll find on the Powernap bandcamp page are among a couple of my old examples. I've upgraded my studio since then but my principles remain the same:

*Heavy focus on dynamic range (rather, how to properly employ and make use of the dynamics)
*Extremely heavy focus on texture (sound you want doesn't exist? we will make it exist)
*Concept-oriented sound/style

Though I can pretty much do whatever anyone wants, although I'm not who you'd want if you're looking for a modern house sound/that tinny Ableton 'fresh' feel.

By production, I don't mean a process in which an artist sends some tracks in to be mastered. I mean communication, understanding/providing criticism, tailoring material to the specifications an artist desires but does not have time/cannot reach on their own. It can be as simple as taking multitracks and mixing them with little or no changes to music itself or if requested a total revision of the work being produced with recommended order, flow (sometimes via new segues) and a drastic shift in tone. All up to the artist.

Anyways, PM me if interested. Guaranteed, I won't disappoint or your [0.00 whatever] back! :D
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

this is really nice sounding. "mylamine" sounds like a neurotransmitter for happiness/relaxation. like dopamine or something. and this track reflects that. cool vibes

1:36 is especially cool in terms of the video. it looks like you're running at hyperspeed with all the colors going everywhere and getting all blurred together

Thanks!! Yea my buddy is all into go-pro and time lapses and all that jazz. I'm like that's good for me make me some damn music videos! Lol.

Also "count the dimes" is very nice, perfect for a cold november day. Love those synths over the top with their delays.

8) Really nice work. Been keeping an eye on your test images, & digging them.

I've been working on my own dual filter, based on the ms20 filter but with the features of a mutronics mutator, though I've added an adsr to each channel, and a few other nifty features.
This has been going on for a while, but I'm now at the point of casing it up, so nearly finished. Sounds ace.

Great stuff in that last bunch of posts!

Loving that Vostok song "count the dimes". It reminds me of Jon Hopkins meets Leftfield or something.

ParticleGhost - Awesome video!

John Fonda - really like these pics, man. so colourful.

Mylamine- I immediately subscribed to your youtube, man. good stuff!

GH - I wish I could do that kind of thing. Looks impressive. I'd love to hear how it sounds!
