Thanks! Trying to find more angles, but I think the one I shared on the previous page is literally the only other picture available online of that band (it may be 'Cement, gravel, rock' as the sign suggests) performing.

Here is an image from the same angle that BoC used, but a different group unfortunately.

I think the one they used is mid-late 70s.

Checked in for Ohneotrix Point Never and Autechre. Randomly checked in during Kwes. which was pretty enjoyable. He did some weird stuff with interviews with artists and soundscapes in the back (never heard of him before but whole event made me more interested in other stuff than BoC in electronic music). After that some Plaid, which was pretty mental, but I had to go outside for a while.
OPN I knew from Replica and I have one Autechre cd, so those two were good to keep me attentive for a while. However, BoC was the first band in the genre to grip me like they do, and I find myself looking for stuff they do in other artists... unsuccesfully.

Autechre's '89-93 stuff was pretty good, still hoping for a BoC thing of the same sort with unreleased shit from Geogaddi and earlier materials.
Or new stuff. Last couple of weeks I've been thinking about and listening to BoC almost exclusively and the recurring thought was always: "Fuck man, what are these guys doing right now?" and then a couple of days ago I haphazardly saw a facebook-window-thing on bocpages advertising this WARP thing :D

On the second channel there was a fucking great radio-doc about Delia Derbyshire, a pioneering electronic musician. They showed how she made her music, by slowing down or speeding up this one sample and creating a complex melody with it. (around 17:02 or so).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0OGeEgwKNs
Sounded completely BoC-esque. She quit music when the synthesizer was invented because she felt it was a disgrace compared to how she made electronic music herself, by cutting and pasting tape. I can kind of see where she was coming from.

It's weird to think they would choose to broadcast a bootleg recording, knowing how selective they are about what they put out. This leads me to believe they have little to do with that. As far as I'm aware the official participation is on Sunday so my excitement is still intact.

It would be unusual under normal circumstances, yes.
I think we established earlier in the thread that NTS Station 2 is not under control of Warp for the weekend, and that it only applies to NTS 1.

NTS 2 are still playing a lot of Warp related music alongside other non-Warp material for the next couple of days, though.

I think there is a distinction to be made between a bootleg, which i someone making money off of your art or likeness, and a live recording that was never released for profit by anyone as far as I know. You can't compare Unreleased Tracks or the Boards of Canada Live @ Warp 10 1999 + All Tomorrow's Parties 2001 bootleg to just the live recordings themselves. The people who made the recordings just wanted to remember and share the experience with the rest of us. Not everyone of us will ever get to see Boards, but we will all have the live recordings for posterity.

Or it could just be a silent nod to the fans that they are not going to play live again so go ahead and enjoy what you have because it is all you ever will.

Autechre was awesome, and the guy from battles was sweet too. Oh and the Danny Brown mix was top notch.

i've been tuning in and out as time permits... a huge fan of most warp artists. this is a great presentation so far, just a great amalgamation of tunes and random bits and bops.

i hope BoC decide to drop something unheard on sunday, but regardless, this is special.

This weekend only? It will continue unto "Sunday" thea , 30th of this month, this yprear in your life? If you decide to listen loving the one and only "Broadcast" by NTS for "Praw Records". Meat is raw and "Warp Records" will be feeding you macaroni by "Clark" and "Clark" may eat macaroni making him as big and strong like "Superman" if he works hard with his carbs as the merbies doo wop "Warp Records" leans.

Autechre was amazing, Mark Pritchard was nice even though I had never listened to him and Clark was great too.

Are we assuming the "Cement Gravel Rock" photo is their own photo from their own trip as kids? Maybe they've always dreamt of playing "Under The Coke Sign", like their heroes, Cement Gravel Rock.

I'll have a proper catch up on everything throughout the next week, but so far my highlights include the Mount Kimbie set, OPN Myriad show, and Autechre tapes.

Aphex set was a bit boring. Definitely seems like the kinda thing you had to be there for. Bibio's unreleased stuff was ok, but nothing I'd return to. Hoping his Sunday set will be a bit more interesting.

If the band records it themselves it's not a bootleg and would never be referred to as such.

That's a very sweet thought.

Is Joyrex teasing something he's in on or just pure speculation?
