Good

Feel free to create a thread whining about the cruelty of putting a piece of fabric over your face in The Playground.

It's been a long time since I read The Illuminatus! Trilogy, but I loved it, and yeah, I'm sure the bros are big RAW fans. The New Clear Dawn site was a pretty big give away.

Maybe it's time to dig up my copy or try some RAW that I haven't read yet.

Neither my feelings or my ruggedly handsome good looks have ever been evidence of anything... but I will do it anyway...

The mirror said yes.

I started the Cosmic Trigger series after I finished Illuminatus, but I never finished it. They were semi-autobiographical and philosophical. Still pretty witty, but nothing on the scale of Illuminatus.

I stumbled across this 6-minute short film about Robert Anton Wilson that I have a feeling others here will enjoy as much as I did.

I would say that using evidence-based measures to prevent harm to others is civilization at its finest. Clearly you have a different definition of “barbaric”.

Ha! Exactly. I'd go with "minor inconvenience" at worst. "Oh boo hoo! i'm being asked (politely) to wear a piece of fabric on my mouth and nose for the 15 minutes a day I'm out and about."

Yes, it literally is one of the most dangerous viruses since the Spanish Flu in 1920. The virus is unpredictable, can cause a lot of harm and very airborne, which is why masks are so useful at keeping it contained as much as possible. Within a few months it exceeded the annual deaths from the flu in America, a disease that is considered common, but still dangerous. Over 1 million deaths globally from the virus and/or complications from it within a year pretty much confirms that it is a dangerous disease - and that's even with our highly advanced medicinal technology and expertise. Even then if the virus ended up killing "only" 11 people, it would still be the right decision to wear a mask. It's always better to be safe than sorry - specifically when it comes to public health. Laissez-faire attitude towards illness will only cause unnecessary harm.

I'm once again sorry for going off-topic in this thread, but I simply can't idly stand by and watch someone question the deadliness of a virus and science itself.

I know that this is how it is called, but actually, it didn't start in Spain.

Hopefully you will all remember.

I read the trilogy two years ago and it was amazing. I've been itching to re-read it because I know damn well I missed SO. MUCH.

Unfortunately because it's been a while, I can't go back and forth about the details like I wish I could - but just wanted to throw in how amazing I thought it was too!
I AM GOD. THE ULTIMATE RESONANCE.

There are a lot of different 'me's, you know. There's the mad me, when I get angry.

Another indirect connection - in the books, there's a coven of Satanists/witches located on Lake Shore Drive, and it's specifically mentioned they chose the address because of the initialism LSD. (A trick BoC used with Left Side Drive).

I would also recommend RAW’s “Everything Is Under Control”. It’s an encyclopedia of conspiracies, and it meshes very nicely with Tomorrow’s Harvest what with the chemtrails and FEMA concentration camps.

I remember watching that movie where the guy goes crazy over the number 23. makes more sense now

Will definitely read the books.

I might keep the mask after all of this is over. just to piss off all the covid deniers and also because of the fact ever since I started taking care of not spreading stuff around I have yet to catch a cold in the past year!

Besides. the japs have been doing it for decades now.
