I'd happily pay for a good quality AFOT.

Zane Lowe is such an annoying nob. I hope he has nothing to do with the new LP promotion. He doesn't deserve it.
In John Peel's sad absence, Mary Anne Hobbs would be my radio DJ of choice, or Gilles Peterson maybe.

I wonder if any flexi-discs are being mailed out yet?

I always think about the recordings in the sense of months and seasons - every single release was born into the world in a different month.

Twoism - August
Hi Scores - December
MHTRTC - April
Geogaddi - February
IABPOITC - November
Campfire Headphase - October
Trans Canada Highway - May
Tomorrow’s Harvest - June

This may not be intentional, and even if it is their schedule for the new release may not allow it. If they are aiming for a new month, though, then it may be July.

I like him as a DJ because he’ll be interviewing all these massive pop stars and then you’ll hear him interview a band like the Mars Volta and he’s just as passionate and well-learned about their work.

Mary Anne Hobbs would be great, yes.

I think we'll get something significant today or tomorrow.

Keep your eyes peeled!

I think some have mentioned it already, but the tapes and posters give off very different vibes. If Warp was to announce the album soon, which looks quite likely, it'd feel like we have two distinct threads that appear difficult to pair up right now.

Maybe it'll all fall into place when they announce. Or maybe it was always going to be this way after the meticulously planned TH launch. I'm curious to see where this goes, because it really does feel like two separate projects at this point.

I'd never considered this but you may be on to something. Wasn't there a rumour a few years back that they had two albums in the works? Either way, I won't overthink this. I'll still piss my pants if we only get one new release.

The seven tessellated hexagons on the VHS and posters (one central + six surrounding) feels like the classic Hexagon Sun logo escalated — no longer just a single glowing hexagon, but a completed cluster. Ties right into their math/revelation themes and the ‘seventh’ release speculation?

The signs are more than obvious, the references to the 6-7 meme are everywhere, going back all the way to tracks like Telepath or Aquarius. The brothers always knew.

I remember when Zane played Reach for Dead for the first time and i commented on Twitter "I hope he doesn't talk over the track" and he replied with "Here's hoping!"

Fair enough. I just find his enthusiasm for pretty much every band ever, to be a bit false and over-the-top.
He can't really love every single band!
But maybe it's just me. I'm also a bit jealous because his job is awesome.

Lol, I forgot he premiered Reach for the Dead on his show!

And yes, it’s an amazing job. I doubt he’ll be involved this time because he’s not on BBC anymore.

I remember Zane saying something like "I know a lot of BoC fans wouldn't normally listen to my show so it's a privilege to premier this new track". It was quite true and quite nice of him.

You're basically faulting him for being good at his job. Would you prefer he lack enthusiasm in an interview just because he doesn't personally like the band?

On another note - I doubt Zane would be involved in anything more than playing a track - it seems most of his interviews are on video and I don't see the boys ever agreeing to that (at least they never have in the past, obviously)

I recognize this'is true of all promotion, but was thinking of how impressive it is that many, many people are aware of what-this-is and what-happens-next (just the coordination of hanging posters across multiple continents would require a lot of people) and perhaps have known these details for awhile and nothing has leaked.

He comes across as insincere and irritating to me. Just my opinion.
If you love everything, you love nothing.
But grumpily interviewing musicians he doesn't like would be pretty funny I think.

Anyway, forget that guy - LP5 is coming!
New information coming on Saturday I'm guessing.

Also Neil Krug posts his recent covers and hints: 'next up... :eyes emoji:'. So yeah in my mind there's no doubt we'll get a new single this saturday.
