Just noticed the low fps fade out to black. Neat little thing I've never seen done before.

This hit me so hard. I had impossibly high expectations but also knew in my heart of hearts that they still have it in 'em. Never any doubt. To see the overwhelming positive response, along with the collective relief to hear BoC again, is really making my year.

I'm actually jealous that you have that discovery left. :-)

If that is a nod to Lid and McBride then that just makes it all the more special.

I swear that is the quickest 3.25 minutes EVER.

My brain wants the buildup of a life-altering beat over the fadeout.

Well, I have a feeling we're all going to get a BIG itch scratched when this album comes out!

Can't wait to hear how their beats have evolved....

OR, if they sound super similar, I would be OK with that as well! :]

I have listened to A Winged Victory for the Sullen and Sleeping Dog. Still need to get into The Dead Texan, and basically all other SotL albums.

Just need to find the right mood for it.

Any suggestions on how to dive into this?

Last time this happened I had only known my girlfriend (now wife) for a year. I was still living in my bachelor pad royale (with cheese). Right before I ventured off into 10 years of college (painful) and the biggest hit in the gut... I was only 29 years old (holy shit)!

ELATED to be sharing this experience with you all. Old and new! Welcome back!

I was left surprisingly indifferent watching it at first. It took about 15 minutes for the realization to slowly start hitting. After waiting for over a decade for it .. it feels strange. I'd even say I feel more anxious than happy.

But also after obsessing for so many years, there isn't much excitement left for me and the well is dry.

Something about the tone in that teaser sounded incredibly bittersweet.

I'd take a whole album of just this kind of thoughtful, well-crafted ambience from them. This track is PERFECT. I cried. And the way it ends on that non-resolving note, a glorious new BOC beat in close proximity would send the whole concept into orbit for me.

Holy shit, the boys are back. Lights out, head cans on. This is gorgeous, feels like a culmination of all the things that came before. Those VHS tapes make even more sense, this has got a proper videocassette tape warble vibe going on.

(Also how are you all? It's been a while).

Hey hey! Nice to see a few familiar names, and it's good to be back!

Before today, the last time I posted on here was January 2020, and the world was a different place. We were different, too, in many ways! Time is an odd thing indeed.

Wow! I haven't posted on this site in forever--over a decade, I believe!--but the moment I saw the video I knew I had to come back here. I wasn't quite sure if we'd ever see new BOC, but here we all are! :D
