We also now have full confirmation that the Warp Selections Vernal Equinox playlist image was in fact taken from tape 05, kudos to everyone who caught on to that so early

Some Burial vibes at points with the organ
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

Just dawned on me that their "Sisters" remix has the same vibe. That was 10 years ago!

If the broz are still Atheists, I wonder if they yearn to be Believers? Maybe that's what this album is about.

Man everytime that 1.40 kicks in, I get this soothing, happy, calm feeling. What a piece of art.

And this is only the beginning. We are in for a ride!

I like what the guy sad about a movie, it seems fitting.

I have a feeling it's not gonna be just an album. Maybe a movie, maybe an album and old unreleased stuff.

No idea, but I have a hunch it's gonna be more.

I believe this new album signals the beginning of the end of these dark times and the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

Sure does. But we’re still no where near the collective mental makeup that will hold host to that age. Maybe when we’re down to a 500 million sustainable level the music can have its right to children.

Something about the tapes being so degraded and barely visible and then seeing the same footage clearer with that music hits me so hard

I love how the tapes led to this… and how tape 05 represents the fifth album. Imagining what we went through thirteen years ago and now we’re here.

Since TH we’ve heard Sisters, Mr. Mistake, Treat Em Right, Sometimes, and Societas X Tape.

it would be funny if the title "Tape 05" indicates this was actually the 5th tape they mailed out to somebody but that person has just never been able to play the tape to find out its unique contents have such a beautiful new BOC song inside rather than what everyone else got

That would be hilarious tbf

Im now scrambling to go find a bloody VHS player because I haven’t played my tape yet! What if…

If that is actually the case, you've got quite the artifact on your hands!

Keep it, though.... Don't sell it for $4000 on Discogs!

First post!
Wonderful uplifting track that has exceeded expectations... I cried too.
The harp melody reminds me of the piano in Hammock - Longest Year. Meant as a huge compliment.

Amazing !!
Has to be the only band which can draw people back after years and years in such a way that everything else takes a back seat whilst we engross ourselves in their magic.
Tape 5 has done it again.
It’s been that long I’d forgotten my username and password.

It’s good to be back.
