It is clear that of the three live performances we have knowledge/tracklists/recordings of, they are performing contemporary songs or at least songs they are maybe considering for that current period or album about to come out. Take Lighthouse track 03 for example, it would so clearly fit on Geogaddi because it's cut from the same sonic palette.

Please stop with the 'Noatak' name

It's not from the 80s, it's from 1994. You'd expect it to sound on a par with or slightly more primitive than Twoism which it does. It's not far-fetched to think they'd play an older track live which they liked but wasn't good enough for a public release. They've recycled elements from old tracks for new releases like Seven Forty Seven used to be one of the old audiotracks. Not saying you're wrong though but just saying

Asked in an interview about ATP07 (most likely):

"You've recorded over 90 songs for Geogaddi. Only 22 - and the silent Magic Window - made it onto the album. At Cambersands you played an utterly brilliant new track that's not on the album.
Marcus: It's about what fits in the context of the album. When we play live we often play tracks that haven't been released. Sometimes those tracks will be used later, sometimes we will move on from that sound and leave the track behind."

Unheard stuff from the Geogaddi sessions is pretty much my BOC holy grail... the tracks we've heard from the live bootlegs (or soundboard recordings now :D ) are among my very favourites.

If we're getting rarities/unreleased stuff I'm praying it includes this!

On one hand I’m super happy that there’s crystal clear versions of these unreleased tracks. On the other hand it’s frustrating to think about just how much of their unreleased material is still out there. The BoC-Set can’t come soon enough, I say!

Let's hope they gifted those cds to more people.

just my opinion is that some particular folks on the boc discord can be quite obsessive and quite dickish so if we get another chordplayer don't let it get there ;)

Man, this soundboard of 07 sounds a lot more like "Noatak" to me. I'm really surprised. I think that's what the voice is saying. There's also a female vocal sample. Can anyone make that one out? Sounds like "silver bowl"

See the rainbow

… I have not read through all of these pages yet but I do want to ask… am I the only one that thinks these tracks are not actual soundboard tracks but rather AI cleaned versions of the existing live versions? They sound too clean somehow… Like they have been denuded of some essence. I feel like the Julie and Candy one is legit and has a lot more grit to it than these tracks do. I feel like they have not given the other tracks this treatment because those were later released and we would then know for sure that they were not legit soundboards…

They’re interesting to listen to in a way but I call bs

It should be easy enough to test.

I think if anyone here was able to do an AI clean-up of the previous recordings, and compare it with this, it would be clear that these soundboard recordings have detail that an AI just wouldn't be able to recreate.

I have no idea if they are or aren’t, but I stopped listening to them immediately because something felt off to me too. It may just be because I’m so used to the room recordings. The bocmaxima tracks felt strange as well… either way I’m avoiding them.

They only sound 'off' because they were performed live and are essentially unmastered, whereas we've become accustomed to their highly polished studio sound.

I’m talking about the live recordings like Echus specifically, so it’s that I’m used to the live room sound and not the soundboard recording.

They are not AI. They just sound clean after over 20 years of listening to a minidisc recording

I wish AI could clean a track this good. I would be listening to the live version of Telephasic Workshop and Spiro right now.
