Sorry if I missed it but, did the posters pop up where the listening parties are?

I can remember Tokyo, London, New York, and LA. I cannot recall if they appeared in Glasgow or Barcelona.

Not if it's a live gig streamed to those locations... a bit like FSOL ISDN.

That would be awesome. If that is the case it would cool if they released that as it own album i.e. the Peel Session.

I am also leaning into the idea that it will be the album played with a video companion piece. Guess we will know more when they announce the locations of the venues.

I wonder where the listening party will be held in NYC.

They must’ve added that detail about the ticket links being sent on May 1st, my confirmation did not include that earlier today.

Nothing for Canada wahhhhhh

But seriously, very nice to see these events happening! I'm sure attendees will be sure to document as much is possible (or allowed) and it'll be a special time for all. I'm leaning towards the event being an album broadcast + some cool visuals...live would be crazy but I highly doubt it. Best of luck to all trying to get tickets...Inferno flames grow higher!!!
The preparation for a dive is always a tense time.

Hoping that the registration confirmation of "a link will be sent to your email for purchase" somehow prevents this from being bot/scalper purchased in the first 5 seconds. See you in LA if so! Eager to know what is planned for these.

The lack of a confirmation email is unfortunate. Because now I wonder if I might have had a typo in my email (doubt it, but). But then I don't want to resubmit in case it punishes that

I also really doubt it will be the ideal environment for a first listen, but I think it'd be worth it just to attend an IRL BoC event.

tbh I feel like they should guarantee me a slot since BoC sampled me in one of their (obscure) works lol

I feel the same, if I get a ticket whether I go or not will be dependent on the venue. I think better move is to not risk reentering.

Wait, they sampled you in Societas..?

Haha no, I'm talking about Sheol Boundary. I'm playfully referring to it as a 'work'. Although...

I am going to try to score tickets for the NYC showing, so if you will be there, say so and we can all have a grand time together. I wish I could afford the trip to Europe, but all things considered I’m lucky to have an opportunity regardless.

I just looked up on bocpages. Your famous video on the IV III I fragment! I was just looking at posts on my old, now inaccessible account and we were corresponding about harmony on here in 2013.

I wasn’t on twoism as much in the Fall after the Tomorrow’s Harvest fanfare all Spring and Summer so wasn’t aware of this. I believe.

I was confused a bit and just selected Berlin so if I win I'll give away the creds to a German head or someone else who can make it

Just out if interest, the confirmation for the Tokyo event calls it the “Tokyo Session”, and when you click through to the buy a ticket page, there is a tab labelled “Listening Event”, the other tabs are to pre-order the album from select Japanese retailers, “BEATNIK”, “Tower Records” etc.

I have a really weird feeling this might be a live FSOL ISDN type thing, perhaps to the seven locations at the same time. The word “Sessions” is usually used for some sort of in-the-studio live jamming, recording. It’s such an unusual word to use otherwise. I guess the other possibility is it is not live but there is some kind of short film showing the sessions during the recording of the album, maybe the whole album is more of a live sound they spent the last 13 years practicing how to play live with a band?

(SPOILER) I’ve just seen the one sheet press release in the Robert Beaty thread and it says the new album “draws on the esoteric influences explored on the Societas X Tape” so there you go. I might just log off until May 30th and avoid all other spoilers!

Luckily I'm in Tokyo during this period so I can actually attend. But does anyone know how much the tickets will cost roughly? I'm sure it would be fun but then again I'm not 100% sure on going to a listening party if it's a large sum even at the expense of hearing the album earlier.
