I know what you mean, but "Below The Meridian" is way better than "Bajamar". About half the tracks are really good and the other half are just so-so. "Awakes" is still his best though imo. "Tree" might be the best track Syntaks has done, love it!

Seems like there's a pattern developing here. There's a lot of so-so/hit or miss stuff they've released lately. I want Golden Sun 2!!! 8)

I went crazy yesterday. I actually sort of made myself sick, but I've downloaded so much music the past few months and I've paid for so little.. so I made some purchases:

Warp's Artificial Intelligence Volumes 1 & 2
Autechre - EP7
Autechre - Confield
Autechre - Chiastic Slide
Polygon Window - Surfing on Sine Waves
Clark - Boddy Riddle (which comes with Throttle Furniture)

Not to mention the CDs that I bought at a concert the other night. I think my music wad is shot for this month.

Great record. Don't know why it gets such a bad rap from people.

People just don't know how to handle the fact that he threw the album together to get lots of songs out on the Warp label. Even if he made it for money, its still great music!!!!

I think its really one of his most interesting, experimental, and groundbreaking albums. The songs are just so DIFFERENT!!!! I mean he started the jungle in Richard D. James, but I have to say that I didn't enjoy it that much in comparison to this. Its just not as deep as Drukqs.

Drukqs explores a new kind of unique sound, and the songs are just so mentally and emotionally deep, every listen hits you. For me, Drukqs creates a physical landscape that I can find sanctum in. Its like this empty, dusty building, with bizzare old instruments...I can hide there.
