A couple years ago I was living with an old friend, and he had a bunch of people over and they were watching Morvern Caller, I was on my way out to go do something. I had been into BOC for about a year ro so... REALLY in to BOC... and I passed in front of the just as that scene where they play that scene. I immediately stopped in my tracks, turned toward the TV and shouted, "EVERYTHING YOU DO IS A BALLOON! BOARDS OF CANADA!" Everyone must have thought I was a raving lunatic! I was the only one in the group even remotely into that kind of music.

Morvern Callar is a great film. The whole soundtrack is really good (Aphex, Broadcast, Can, Lee Perry...). And it's got the lovely Samantha Morton...

Ooh man, I totally picture that situation! :D
I'm like that as well with commercials and movie when they play some of the music I play.. I guess it's some sort of recognition which I need?

The last good movie in the theater i saw this year was Children of Men . that was one of the most brillaint movies i have seen in a long time . And i think what also may be a highly acurate vision of our future if things get worse and we don't step up to the plate and save our selfs from our selfs .

Clive owen should have got Oscar for best actor .

I agree. Probably the best movie i've seen in the last couple of years. Even better than Pan's Labyrinth, which was outstanding. More than anything i loved the way i was filmed - the long unbroken takes. The sequence at the end which goes on for 10 minutes or so, in a warzone with all sorts of shit being thrown around, in one long unbroken take is just incredible. It should go down as a historic moment in cinema.

I saw "Dirty Filthy Love," and it was good, and it was not a porno. It's a movie about mental illness and these two OCD people who eventually end up getting together. It was really touching, actually, and very, very British.

Now to get ahold of Children of Men
