Yes it's indeed very nice, they arent playing as a group nowadays anymore unfortunately (if i'm correct).....on the other hand you can also try world's end girlfriend similar style maybe less doomsdayish

I saw them live in the cellar of a museum in the 90 ties, amazing those days, check all there albums, and try MONO a similar band from Japan.

The founder from God Speed You Black Emperor has a new band called HRSTA, Stem Stem In Electro is the name of the album from this year.

i love GY!BE. saw their Silver Mt. Zion side-project two years ago, and it was really good. don't know what they're doing right now. last time i heard about them was at the filmfestival in ghent, where they were operating under the name Thee Silver Mountain Elegies Play War Radio. if gybe were to get back together and play in belgium i'd sure see them, i heard they are fenomenal live

Definetly a great band to see live. I've seen them about 8 times and it was amazing every time. Saw them play with Mogwai 3 times and Stuart joined them on stage. The visuals were always good. I'd have to say though that if you missed them live you have no idea.... the records are good, but really don't come close.

I bought F#A# a few weeks ago. I listened to it once and honestly it did'nt do much for me. Maybe after repeated listens it'll grow on me. Or maybe that was'nt the best album to start with?

good advice. i have such a hard time believing that people would steal. it never enters my mind so i think people are the same way. here is the thing, the person who stole my stuff knew exactly what they were doing as they only stole the harder to find stuff.

It happened too me as well some years ago, i know who did it but i can't prove it, ever since then i'm very carefull, when there are people in the house that i don't know very well, i keep my room locked

that's a pity, an interesting read though. They obviously have a pretty developed perspective on their approach and relationship with the fans/audience. is this derived from a longer interview anywhere?
