at least you can upgrade a PC with new video-cards etc. so you don't have to buy an entire new console every new generation...

besides, PC technology is waaaay more advanced than the consoles are. Plus a whole lot cheaper.
You can add other controllers, if you really hate playing with a keyboard.I even saw a NES controller for the pc once

Game companies are just stupid for not releasing games on the pc...

sadly cupz, the companies are not stupid. they're actually really smart for doing that--business-speaking. everytime a cool system comes out, millions buy the entire new console and new cartridges for the same games they had on their old systems. if games were only on pc's, all the game manufacturer would sell is the game. the "console", or your pc's tower, wouldn't have to be bought everytime like it does with console games. so, they basically bank everytime gates or whoever dreams up another way to steal kids' money with a new "revolutionary gaming console". everyone wants one, and all the new (old-console-incompatible) games that go with it. pretty ingenious to me. ahhh consumerism. but you're right. buy more pc games. not more consoles.

Am I the only one that thinks the GTA games are extremely over-rated? I much prefered the top-down style in GTA's 1 and 2. Couldn't get into San Andreas at all, it was all a bit serious and gangsta. Still going to give the new one try though!

San Andreas was slightly too complex, really. I didn't appreciate all the RPG style elements, despite liking some RPGs. Aside from the fact that the map was too big and repetitive, it actually made little difference whether your character ate or not.

Having said that, I think Rockstar recognize this and GTA IV looks to be a suitable middle ground. I have the special edition on pre-order, but unfortunately the release date falls just before my exams so I'll have to wait to play it.

Skate is awesome. It's head and tails over the Tony Hawk games. I may pick up GTA4 on tuesday, probly not though. I may wait until i have a more stable income.

ya, I'm definitely getting this one. But for what system? PS3? 360? I'll probly get it for 360 just cuz it has downloadable episodic content. But maybe for the PS3 cuz the episodic content is probly like $10 for 5 hours of missions. Plus I wanna plan ahead for Home features.
