what might seems strange are the "square" (like cd) artworks for those old releases.
i bet that the original cassette art for "catalog 3" must have been different of the cd reissue.

Anyway, in case someone from the hexagon sun HQ read this: please include skimming stones in forthcoming archives material.

what biography text do you mean?
anyway, ive always thought the artwork for the old tapes was a bit peculiar as well since they are clearly cd-sized.. i wonder what they looked like before they were CDs.

try changing the aspect ratio

certainly to me the covers for acid memories, play by numbers, twoism & hooper bay look like the have been re-shaped from rectangles to squares

its true with hopper bay but acid memories, catalog3 & close volume1 artworks do not seems stretched (from rectangle to cd) at all!

also, it must have been difficult to do some computer graphics artwork before like 1994, i pretty sure thoses acid memories & catalog3 "square cd" artworks were done for the reissue & the original tapes must have some black&white stuff like "a few old tunes".

anyway, would love to hear a box set!

How could I ever miss this thread??
I guess I was on holiday back then.
So is there any news on this subject??
Wow, sounds all exciting..

And it would be even better if the old stuff would be brought out, as I am a big fan of them!!
There glimpses a little hope on the-BoC-release-something-horizon.

Would this be why the artwork for the Twoism LP is just two rectangles on a sleeve?

I really hope this box set of early material happens. I think I might be even more excited for this than the new album. A box set of old BoC tracks ripped and remastered from cassette tapes. It sounds like a fantasy! This was posted in 2008, but I think it is mentioned somewhere that this would be released after the new album, with a '99%' probability. Anyone have different thoughts on this now 2 years later?

well, I still think it will be awesome and I have faith that it will happen eventually
will be amazing even if purely for finding out what lies behind those awesome track titles!

Was it really necessary to bump a year old topic?

Well, it seems necessary because some people here obviously missed it and I wanted to know what you guys thought of them releasing old material in juxtaposition to a new album. That's the point of a forum. To discuss things and share opinions.

Anyway, MDG I think also mentioned somewhere that it would be packaged with all new album artwork and whatnot, that seems pretty awesome. But I think what makes this so intriguing is that it is a 'box set'. That sounds quite hefty, I suppose a lot of material. I wonder if it would come with complete early albums like Hooper Bay, Acid Memories, Closes Vol. 1, etc. or if it would be a collection of a few tracks from each? Not that this information is available but, I don't know, just thinking out loud...
