Welcome to the boards vide0spirit!

What a great first post you've got there. It's even better than the original video :)

I really like this one.

I don't care much for most of the BOC videos on youtube. I imagine really specific themes/scenes with some of the songs, and it's really disappointing to see something that doesn't match up with what I see in my head. Anyone else like this?

I'm planning to make another music video version (that's why I called this one ver. A). It will only have skydiving and wingsuit flying footage. I'm sure you'll like it more. I'm hoping to finish that new version for June sometime...

Just watched the Pete Standing Alone video. It seems the common theme to all of these fan-made videos is to find as much footage from the 60's and 70's and just throw it in there. A basketball game? Nah.

That's why I think the Macquerie Ridge video is so great, because it's footage is culled from one source, the film Zabriskie Point. Much more cohesive, imo.

I always saw Pete Standing Alone as some sort of epic battle in the desert.

Yeah, that one is fantastic. Makes me angry that I didn't record more TV back in the day :)

I make a lot of BoC videos, I don't really like to advertise myself too incessantly but here are some examples...

Sunshine Recorder - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWCALYA2li4
An Eagle in your Mind - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdg9q6cRC6o
Whitewater - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAWi60RiGjo
Oirectine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Nmuunl125k
Red Moss - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shDsiTfEKg0
Twoism - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLG_PUh7W8g

And then I reverse a lot of their songs, but I won't waste any more of your time.

Anyone have a list/links of the winning submissions from the BoC video contest on WATMM, several years back? Would love to see what BoC themselves actually selected.

I have yet to see a fan video that does it for me, to be honest...but I suppose it's a bit like watching a movie version of your favorite book...no matter how good it is, you'll still be disappointed.

No disrespect to any of you guys here. If you enjoy making the videos, that's what it's about.
