Anybody can make panties drop, to borrow your colloquialism. But it takes a skilled, intelligent, faithful human being (two, actually) to craft and hone a fine, meaningful, deep relationship...

relationships...can be the best and worst things ever.

i am no expert at all, but there is one thing that i can say and it should be obvious to all.

love is nothing without pain

i used to talk a lot about past relationships particularly online. now that relationship is over i've learned that it's probably not a good idea to reveal certain informations on the internets for two reasons:

1) there's always someone who's willing to stir shit up and try to fuck with your head / your partners head.

2) if/when that relationship ends and you move on and find someone else, there's a shit load of past relationship stuff all there in nice google cache :p makes great reading for your partner :(

my advice - keep your relationship details away from the internets

ironic, isn't it? Why do we humans find it always worth the price even if it cuts us in pieces? A strange species we are... I don't get it. I guess there must be something really great about it then.. But i personally would prefer art (music / poetry / literature / paintings). It seems more honest. Or something. I'm waffling. I am EVERYTHING BUT an expert on these things :)

It's like crossing a street. You don't throw your emotions out into traffic and see what happens. You wait, look both ways, and choose when to cross. Also, you might look across the road first to see if the other side is really where you want to go. Maybe you were looking for another street.

Also don't jaywalk. And don't cross streets that are really easy to get across. And if you see a car coming your way, go back! RUN!

Lol, metaphors.

I'd say sharing all that is very rewarding.

i very much believe that dualism plays a big part in life. it's pretty unavoidable. if we care enough about something, it is inevitable that we will suffer from it.

funny statement though, that you would prefer art to actual experience...isn't art supposed to be about portraying emotions? it's kind of like a simulacra

and then we get onto the philosophical debate of, if you could choose to live in a dream world or reality, which would you choose and if you chose the dream world, would you be technically alive?

great metaphor! (what does jaywalk mean by the way? )
To go with the metaphor, in my limited experience the moment you give in to love it's like the traffic lights are suddenly not working anymore and you decide to cross the street with your eyes closed. But it's like you don't care about the danger because there's great music playing on your ipod. Haha does this still make sense?

isn't art actual experience? Like music for example is more to me than a portrayal of someone else's emotions (however powerful that mere encounter is). It sometimes seems to have a life on its own if that makes any sense... i try to give words to the way i can experience music, but i cannot, sorry. It's just that art cannot lie. Real love cannot either, but when is love real, taking the human tendency to selfishness into account that always blurs it one way or another.. I get your point though. Love is relationship, interaction. Art isn't or in a very remote way.

Funny you mention that dream subject. I was just thinking over it today. Currently, in most of my dreams i feel a thousand times more alive and more close to my inner self than in real life.. Wonder what that is :)

I guess it's just beeing closer and more in touch with your subconsciousness. It's like a little doorway to heaven, how we are intended.

i sure wish i could find someone who appreciates the welsh nature as much as i do. i spend most my time in 'the cwmins' which is a woodlands that leads to a small village named llanachaeron. it has a public footpath running through the middle, yet it's rare to see anyone walking along there. can someone please send a few over for me? i'm getting lonely. :(

I'll put an add in the dutch paper right now:

"Lonely welsh dude looking for girl to stroll down unpronounsable woods. Enjoys weird music.
Plane ticket included."
