I've figured out alot of stuff too. But since alot of their music is layered, multi-timbered, with back masking and all sorts of stuff that we still don't know what they used and how they used it, I haven't recorded anything either.

Though "Under The Coke Sign" I have all worked out. And I'm tempted to take all the bits and pieces that I have figured out and put them together as a medley. But alot of things just sound stupid without the production. Like doing the basslines on guitar. You'd recognize it. but I don't think it would impress anyone.

Saw that clip on YT of them doing Roygbiv. The bass line wasn't as smooth, giving it a different feel.

Yes, that was the clip. Very dark video. The vibe and tempo of it is so different that it loses a little luster for me. hard to do this kind of stuff live. there is a clip of a band doing Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy" that was bizarre.

Olson seems to be the most popluar track to cover.
Here was mine, made last year on guitar)

I'd love...LOVE to hear a cover of Beautiful Place out in the Country. I guess the one on the Warp box set will be interesting.

Interesting. You went with the more traditional guitar sound for your cover. Good work.

I think the next step is to put all these covers back-to-back and let the forum judge which one they like the most. :)

Unless there are more covers out there. So if you have one, lets hear what you got!! :)

I haven't heard many of those rare tracks. Seems like they were finding their way when they started. But maybe we should have an "Olson" vote then have an overall best cover vote.

Oh, and this was also a pleasant find for me, apologies if it's old news:
