I think you don't need an expensive camera to take a great picture.. It's not that easy, but it's possible. Sometimes crappy quality can be an advantage. The grainy look perhaps fits great with the nostalgy hidden in BoC.. Try it! Your own work is worth much more than using random photos from the net.

I used a 1984 Kodak Fisher Price 110 Film Camera using 110 film. And a Dollar Store Camera with 35 mm expired film. The grain comes from the dust and the hairs that is in the housing of the camera that get trapped on the film, the light leaks are from it being a plastic camera.

This is the one I use:

You don't have to have a fisher price one either, 110 film looks nostalgic in any old 110 film camera.

The grain and hairs look amazing when using them:

Just found this forum today and wanted to contribute to the cause. It's still a work in process. Glad to see that there is something like this site that exists! Feed back appreciated.

Awww man, that logo is bad ass! Superb, but I think the logo you have to use had been decided. The backgrounds are awesome, reminds me of ISO50's designs.

This page contains all the actual info you need and also the PSD file to use when creating your own banner. Looking forward to your submissions.

Really? Well i hope so )

In anyway - i just want to create for a collection one or five good banners with my previous photos.
If i'll use those logo in pds, my works will accept or in anyway i must to do something new with my own photos to get into collection? :(

Yes. My suggestion (or better restriction) is you use the photoshop .psd file to create the banner. When you open the file with Photoshop you see a couple of layers. The logo layer should remain untouched/locked. You can use any of the other layers to put in your background photo work. That way the logo will remain crystal clear and sharp. When you save your work you could save it to PSD and send me that file by means of something like http://drop.io/. Just send me a private message or email with a link to the file. If you don't save it as PSD but something like jpeg, make sure you save it with NO compression. Maximum quality possible else the logo will be scrambled again and then I won't post it. I'm really picky about these kind of things.

And keep in mind 5 submissions max. Just compile the ones you like the best, with the method I described in the previous paragraph. And then I'll be happy to upload them to bocpages next to the other contest entries.

/cheers
