I still think the only logical way of looking at the riddle is this:
Red moon + date = red moon party on that date.
If the code is crackable then I'm not clever or mental enough to figure it out and as I've gone as far as writing a program to try and figure it out I think I can say "at I least tried". Plus I learned some stuff about codes I didn't know before.
If it is revealed now I'll be in quandry - but I'll just cross that bridge if and when I come to it.
For now, as I said, I give up.

The funny thing is, that's 36 letters, in other words: 6
I think the fact that the same individual digits are used (6,8,4 etc.) give a clue as to what type of cryptography is used. I'm going to keep trying and see if I can find out!
A lot of people might say I'm wasting my time, but I don't care because at least it's exciting.
